I agree with most of what Number3 posted, indeed there were no "light weight" parts. Besides the suspension (or should I say due to the suspension) the big difference was the Z/28 sat lower (close to two inches) than all other Camaros despite all others having 14" wheels/tires while the Z/28 had 15" wheels/tires, that's why the SS came with F70 14" tires but the Z/28 came with slightly narrower E70 15" tires. Based on those weight listings, I come up with 3,205 lb for a '69 Z/28. 3,070 lb. base V8 weight, 32lb power disk brakes, 72lb V8, 7lb 4 speed, 15lb Heavy duty battery, 9lb AM-FM radio. If I remember correctly, when I bought mine in '69 it weighed about 3,375 lb, I paid about $3,385 for it, so just about a dollar a pound.

Man that rear bumper off the Leno car is on a few of the others also. Wonder if it is gonna be the new standard, or part of a different body kit?
