i get ya, i like the clean solid look myself... looking as how you are going to get some paint done anyways sunoco yellow bow ties (very subtle changes from the gold but chevrolet people would notice) or a script under the spoiler like on the veteran 1 car.... say something like ~DOC~...

P.S. i met you and saw your car at the meet we had at the rim manufacturer a couple months back, your car has got a great stance!

I'm thinking of maybe having "Blue Angel" in Sunoco yellow on the side above the CAMARO letters in the script they use on the planes. Actually I should do a photoshop of the spears and lettering on one of these new pictures to give you an idea.

i was thinking maybe the tip of the spoiler in yellow like the tips of the wings...

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too for the spoiler edge. Hmmm... interesting idea on the back of the spoiler. Once mine arrives and I get it installed I'll take some pics and play around with that idea.



Here's what I'm toying with for stripe ideas for the front; hood spears, lower front grill, 5% tint on turn signal lenses. I'm definitely going to do the hood spears; not sure yet on the grill stripe.

i really like the hood stripe! i am not sure how i feel about the grill stripe either....

i kinda thing the hood stripe and the spoiler would be enough...

Doc it's obvious from the pic of the jet that you need to paint the side mirrors yellow.

Have you photoshopped a version with a thin stripe down the top of the side?

Yeah I've thought about a yellow stripe around the edge of the mirror. I'm also considering a stripe of some kind from the side mirror towards the back of the car to approximate the top of the Blue Angel plane but I haven't come up with one yet that I'm happy with.

I keep playing around with ideas though.

When the Camaros first came out some owner complained about the front ends with the IBM paint color not matching the paint on the hood and fenders. Was this ever a problem or was it the fact that the paint is metallic and it was the way light would shine on the surfaces at different angles?

Probably the way the light reflects off the paint. In direct sunlight you can see a galaxy of metal flake in the paint.
