If any body is interested John Elway Parts has 3 sets of 1LE 3 : 91 gears talk to Paul in parts let him know Brad with CCOTR sent you there and he has a price of $ 330.00 for the club.

They're extremely cheap upgraded rear end gears, now that they are an OEM part for the 1LE Camaro. Used to be an $800 round trip through Lingenfelter when they 1st came out, just like the 3.73s. Now that it's used in a production car, the price came way down. Adds alot of inexpensive low end performance. If you already have alot of low end torque, might be too much gear though..... depends on the setup. Good for Vortecs, since the torque curve is more linear. Really good for a stock or cammed car...... end up getting some use out of 4th gear in the 1/4 mile too - rather than shifting just to pass the finish line.

I hope you are right Garth , should be fun next summer learning some new ways to drive our upgrading cars at the track ( s)

I already am using the stock short block, I priced it all out and it ended up being cheaper this way, but definitely looked at doing just that.

I'm willing to do the bar, but am really hoping that the NHRA will let us get away with it. Would hate to have to cut up the interior, I'm sure most of us feel that way.

Hmmm not sure who u went with but labor will be pretty much the same. You stock pistons + rods are worth little to nothing unless u are selling the short block complete. I did this twice and ended up with a new block + an aftermarket crank for the same price! Which means i actually made more money. But dont know. Hope it works out for u. Any info on the build and builder? Good luck
