JOINING THE CAMARO CLUB

Owned lots of GM cars but never a Camaro - until now that is. Going to wait for the ragtop to come out. Finally talked my wife out of a 57 T-Bird (ouch) now she wants the new Camaro ragtop. Hopefully by then they won't be asking MSRP plus. Going to go with the V6 - if I want more HP I'll drive my 98Vette.

Awsome pics! Just one question: Can I get the RS/SS Package with the V6?

Yes. It's just the RS package, and it's optional on both. SS is what the V8 is, with or without the RS package.

RS package is HID headlamps with halos, console gauges, 5 spoke aluminum rims, fog lamps, tail lamp treatment, and rear spoiler (standard on SS).

No, the SS is the V8. So RS/SS is the RS appearance package on the SS Camaro. You can get the RS package on a V6, but it is simply called RS

So..... does "body color lighted trim kit" imply that we will be able to get the interior trim color to match our exterior?... or are those 3 colors shown on the pamphlet/poster (red, orange, yellow) the only colors that will be offered for interior trim? Anyone know?

Blue and orange where the only 2 originally announced. Now we can add red or yellow..

Dont be surprised if other colors are announced or released (and heck even the aftermarket will get into it with multicolored led's.

I don't believe the panels are blue, just the lighting. The panels are a gray/silver when unlit. Or so it appeared.

Here's the deal with the lighting. Standard for both V6 and SS is gray trim with blue LED lighting. Inferno Orange Accent package gives orange trim with white LEDs, orange leather accents, and orange stitching. These are the only factory options.

All other trim colors are panels only with white LED lighting, and are dealer-installed accessories.

Now I haven't read all 32 pages of this thread of course. But based on the pics from the very first post, am I the only one that thinks the interior looks horrible? Especially the radio/climate control area. Man that is some serious ugliness.

As one of the 15 in the focus group, I can assure you that feedback was given regarding the look of the climate control knobs. I hope that's an area they choose to improve as the model progresses/evolves through the years.
