Thank you. I will give that a read.

I'd also like to add to the ZL1's 6 piston brakes, cross drilled and slotted.

Some of your ideas sound good especially the seats. I'm sure that would save 15+ lbs. However the crank windows which would never happen have been found to be both more in $ and weight. Also the car was designed with 20's I really doubt we'll see 19" let alone 18".

I realized after I posted.

How in blue hell can you put 6 piston brakes in 18" wheels and tires?

Which is why I'm not an engineer.

I would still like the cross drilled & sloted discs though....

I think your on the right track and we would definitely consider purchasing a 1LE or Z28, especially is its got another 40-50 HP with some weight reductions (Recaro seats). However, there's no way my wife will go for black wheels. I like them, but to get our money, the wheels have got to shine! Also a 3.91 gear would be great.

Anybody else think that if they build this thing that there's a good chance it will come with PTM? With all those ZL1 components they would have to tie them all together.

Yes, build it, I even think the one color is realy cool, don't veer away from that, it will make the car unique. I guess I'll be selling my unique 45th for this one, dam it, and Ya at the same time!!!!!!

If it's going to be pushed, built and sold as a road racer, it shouldn't look and feel like a luxury coupe on the inside.
I agree!! The weight must be reduced and smaller wheels are a must. It's not for me because I'm more than happy with my build, but I like the idea.

Would be nice for someone wanting the platform for an LSX or Forged motor without having to buy the LSA... Other than that why not just get a ZL1..
