If you take them to someone that sells custom rugs they usually have the ability to stitch the cut edges so they keep factory look.

(That's what we all say right?! Lol) It's just a toy to me that I occasionally race at the track. I do shows with the car also so appearance is a must. Most race shops around here just put in raw bars or lightly paint them black. I'm sure someone could probably paint match a welded in setup, but I've yet to see one locally. I would think that would be a nightmare to do with over spray problems.
Fair enough. Can't argue with that.

HELP!!! Lol

Anyone have pics showing how you cut the rear interior panels on a convertible?
I really don't want to mess it up and have to buy another one.

I bought some used interior rear panels because you have to cut the plastic to fit the bars to the floor. My engine shop did all the work.
The more interior you take out the easier it should be to fit drill and install.

Any chance you have any pics of the cut rear interior panel where the roll bar goes through? I'm trying to get an idea of where to make my cuts.

Why don't you use the "supplied" "template" provided in the instructions? Hahaha. Pretty sure it's "Figure 8". I'm just kidding. We had a good long laugh at that specific part of the instructions.

ive got my drivers side seat bracket mocked up. looks like its going to work good. i had to make a custom bracket because i need the seat 3 inches higher than just bolting the sliders to the floor. these are sparco double lock sliders and the seats are fia approved. the lap and sub belt mounts are incorporated into the seat bracket out of one big thick piece of square tubing. my hands are hamburger after chewing this heavy gauge tubing into an origami project with a 4 1/2" cut off grinder. i only have two bolts in the sliders for now. after a few more tacks with the flux core, i have to pull the bracket and go to somewhere i can use a 3 phase machine to weld all the seams. i think ill wait til i have both brackets done. only 34 days til road atlanta. i still have to change all the fluids.

LOL. The instructions are useless, especially if your working on a convertible. Frustrating to say the least.

Thanks man. But I'm getting new panels and doing it differently. The way I have it now I have to have the padding to make it look clean. Came up with a different idea. I will post when they are done.

Also. I will have plenty of tips for you when ur ready. Lol
