Like I said, if it doesn't void GM's powertrain warranty, there will be a LOT of Camaro owners adding this blower.

The waiting is over, GM already published the bulletin to every dealer. Alter the hp or calibration and the powertrain warranty is blocked.

GM sells their own supercharger package through GMPP, and even if you put that one on, your warranty is history.

I think the SLP cars are awesome, there just seems to be some confusion on who covers the warranty. There are a handfull of reputable tuners that add supercharger packages to Camaros and Corvettes, and they all provide their own warranty. GM is not going to warranty something somebody else developed, and they didn't validate the car's drivetrain to that hp level.

If the drivetrain was designed for that hp level (and it absolutely was not) they would warranty their own supercharger package and have a calibration available for it.

Bottom line is...your not going to get a "Real" Warranty answer Until you break something and have to deal with GM...been there and done that...and if they find anything on your PCM that shouldn't be there. See ya!..I was lucky and they did a "good Will" warranty for a broken exhaust valve tip..but told me that my VIN# number now has a "RED FLAG" on it and if I break anything else..I'm basically on my own...sad part is they insisted that my car had a custom tune and It did not...my car was never tuned..it was reflashed by a GM technician when I had the battery cable reroute done and they don't even know who did it..only could say that the computer was "compromised".. So..It's not the dealer that warranties the car..it's GM...The dealer HAS to plug your car into GM global and THEY(GM) will check your cars computer over with a fine tooth comb...and THEY will have the say if your car will be warrantied..NOT the dealership.... just my .02..I been there. Oh and MY service manager called the regional manager to see if we could get the 'RED FLAG" lifted off my VIN..I was right there in the Office....Response from GM...SORRY!

Stupid question. Why not purchase another pcm and keep the stock unaltered one?

They are coded to the car today. Actually...coded. There's a handshake program in the Camaro that links the radio computer to the ECM on startup. If one or the other doesn't match the factory-set IDs...I'm not even sure if the car will start. It might, but you'll have error codes up the tailpipe.
