No, how it works is they find about 12-15 similar recent write-offs of Camaros in similar conditions and trim levels, and then average their values to determine settlement coverage and average depreciation. I used to think they replaced your car, but they replace your car's worth at the present time (so for me, it's the value of a new Camaro minus 10 months worth of depreciation).

woah! can you buy wheels from those? There look to be a lot of good looking set of wheels there...

OP: I'm sorry about your loss, even if it is just a car. I know to us it is way more than just that, it is our pride and joy. Hopefully you are in a SS soon

Maybe you can find a good deal on a used one that will help ease the pain?

Wow! Glad I opted for the GAP insurance. I hope you come out ahead on this one man.

Sorry for your loss man. Its good it came out totaled...a car that beat up would never be the same. Then dealing with depreciated value and repairs....upgrading to the SS would be WAYY less stressful!

Thanks, I was actually financially fortunate enough to not have to need GAP insurance, and Progressive was more than fair with a final value of the car. It worked out really well, so that's a very good thing.

Sorry for the loss of your wheels. However, it sounds like it is going to work out for you in the end. Wow it could have been such the opposite.

I am in the same boat also, mine was totaled out on Thursday. I have already called SS-Eric and put my order in so maybe I will see you in the next few weeks when my car gets in Johnny!!!! Are you getting another camaro and using the Grapevine dealership?

I was very surprised of the ACV (actual cash value) of the vehicle after 15 months.

Cheers
K

Glad you are ok.. don't know if I would want it fixed if the door is jammed shut. I would rather they total it and get a new one.
