The Camaro has a slight advantage if you look at HP / Weight ratio ... What gearing did the GTO have?
What did a stock GTO run btw? I know the Camaro HP / Weight ratio should be close to the 03/04 cobras .. they would run high 12's at about 110 - 113 mph ...

the other thing is thought thew ls3 will have more useable torque from the bottom of the rpm range.
