Originally, I thought we'd auction it off -

That changed the day we unveiled it when a grandmother came up to me asking how long the car would be on display in Ohio....I told her it would be there for another 24 hours - and her response was along the lines of "GREAT! I have 9 grandchildren and I'm bringing them down here to see this - this is a history lesson on our country".......

........and THAT'S when I realized that if we auctioned it off, it may end up in a garage somewhere where the public will never get to see it.

The American Pride Camaro is NOT about war - rather, it honors the men and women who sacrificed so much so that people WORLD WIDE would have FREEDOM!

.......and thus, I see this as a treasure -- coming from the incredible artistry of Mickey Harris - that needs to be shared with all Americans.....

And thus, when I'm long gone from the halls of GM World Headquarters - I hope the American Pride Camaro will remain in the GM Historic Fleet - so that people for many years to come can see this work of art.

Mickey - God Bless you!

HINT HINT HINT You got to deal with that Crazy daughter of mine now, She has OFFICALLY claimed the car as hers.
She only allows daddy & Mommy to drive it. until she gets her license then she says the car is hers.

So how can we get one? That C-5 Galaxy is a great touch! I'll send to my bro. Oh yeah, I have flown in a C-130 and a C-141. Still need C5 qualification flight, now who's with me? Was that SAC or MAC?

I know it was M.A.C. as in Military Airlift Command back when we use to jump and throw things out of perfectly good airplanes that were provided for us by the Air Force and they're A.L.C.E. team. S.A.C. was referred as the Strategic Air Command which dealt with the old missile command if my memory serves me correct, I remember going over to March Air Force base outside of Riverside, Ca. back in the '80's while stationed at Camp Pendleton, Ca. Man those were some good times.

Mrs MLee had not seen this car before C5Fest... Once she did, I couldn't get her away from it... She took a picture of every scene on it. It would be a shame if it was ever put in a garage somewhere. Kudos for GM keeping it out there...

Isn't it time for a Camaro Museum somewhere...

The American Pride Camaro is something that should be seen by every blue-blooded American! Remember the fallen, always remember the past... don't ever forget what our patriots have sacrificed for our freedom, and for the World! There is, and never has been/will be, a country like the U.S.A. and The American Pride Camaro is the perfect way to honor those who loved her so much that they gave everything!

I could sit and stare for hours/days/weeks...

Agreed that "AMERICAN PRIDE" should NOT be auctioned.. It is a TRUE memorial tribute. I do see it on display at the Smithsonian Musem !

Now, Strength and Honor I see being auctioned off, and I waiting patiently to see if that happens and hope within my means to get it. At Barrett Jackson, I see it fetching 100K +

This video hosted by Scott Settlemire may be a repost, but definitely worth watching. Pictures don't do this car justice.... the story does!
