Yeah your right GT. After I looked at it more closely the upgraded heads and cam puts it past the bolt-on stage. Still not a bad ET though!

You are right. The Z06 will destroy the ZL1. The Z06 is an very quick car. The ZL1 wouldnt have a chance either from a standstill or the highway.

Yes the ZL1 will be a quick car but not as quick as ZO6 or ZR1.

The Camaro is definitely bigger though.

I love them both, and the Camaro does look meaner, but i'm not sure i'd call any Corvette 'mean' looking. Personally i still think the Corvette is a gorgeous car.
A few months ago Motor Trend did a comparison. Z06 vs. GT500 vs. GTR.
The Z06 was 3,253 pounds, GT500 3,801. The stats were fairly close, but the Corvette was better in every handling and acceleration category and the mustang was in third place. Z06 0-60 3.8 seconds, quarter mile at 11.8-123.4 mph. I think this is a good comparison to the upcoming ZL1, plus we know the ZL1 will weigh more than 3,801 pounds.

Hahah... Very bold. I'd take on your challenge. +~50hp and torque is nothing when looking at 7-900lbs. You won't run the streets, the 302 will still have you on the track as well. The ZL1 is very exciting, but will never pull with a ZR1 and will have to be seriously prepped against a Z06. I drove a GT500 before the Z06 and it pulled really hard...until I started the Z. You will be very similar to the GT500: which isn't a match for a Z06 not to mention you're heavier than it.
