If Chevy and Cadillac keeps making them, I'll keep buying them (unless they go too green for my tastes that is).

P.S. My wife wants to know if they'll be offering a SS or Z28 option on her SRX anytime soon?

Camaro's before Hoes! (I took liberty on the original saying).

You need to decide what is more important to you, your 'dream' or a girl who doesn't share it with you (dream that is).

Explain to your girlfriend how much you really want this car and how it will make you happy.Tell her to think about it for a day. If she still says no after knowing how much you want this then she is only thinking about herself not you.

Not even car industry shills who get paid to pass along overly optimistic news have said anything about GM making a profit for the foreseeable future. They owe billions and there is virtually no chance of them paying off their debt and turn a profit. Everything GM reps are saying now is extremely overly optimistic and won't happen.

That being said, I also think that if the credit bubble burst 2 year sooner, the Camaro would have been never made, and for good reason. It will end up costing GM hundreds of millions. They have no chance to sell their projected 100,000 cars/year. 10,000 or so pre-orders for a 'hot' car is not good. Same goes for the Challenger. Both of these cars are 'good', but the days of relentless spending by Americans is over with for the time being.

also, most of those cars are actually not bad at all, but there are still come cars that are very unappealing to the market right now, like the huge gas guzzlers and such.

and ah! Those Pesky Germans!
Dude I think it is time for this!!

Yeah, my finance guy (not fiance) tried to tell me GM and Chrysler were going to merge because GM wants the minivan. Sure! (the sarcasm meter should be pegged). He went on for about 5 minutes on why this is going to happen and all sorts of reasoning. That is never going to happen. All Chrysler was looking for was a way out. S. Norman, I am not going to tell you what to do but first, the lawyer is getting paid to be "smart" and he's trying to look like a genius and "protect" you. Same thing my finance guy was trying to do, but instead he came off looking uninformed and out of touch with the car industry. When it doesn't happen the lawyer is going to say, "well there were changes and GM saved it" BS he missed it! Second, my wife is begging me to get a camaro for myself. If it were up to her I would have the thing on order October 13th. She knows how important this car is to me and she recognizes it as the dream and desire it is. The hold up is money (it generally is), I need to wait, first to pick a color and, I want to make sure I can afford the car I want (2SS) (I am on commission and business is a little slow now). It sounds like the fiance is mad because you are getting something and it is going to cut into the clothing or jewelry budget and she's not happy about it.
