I think fords are awesome cars. I could not jusfify me getting one though. HP may be impressive but however, a Camaro can also knock the sox off your feet. I chose a Camaro because I loved how the exterior looks, its so sexy. My car gets so many compliments everywhere I go. IMO, mustangs are a dime a dozen. We are a Camaro forum and I'm sure everyone here would agree that our cars are sexy!

Go buy what you want, why do you feel WE need to change your opinion. If you drive the Mustang, like it and can afford it go for it. I think its stupid that you are asking Camaro owners to convince you to buy a Camaro. Buy what makes you happy

I have a 2006 GT. There really all show and just sound nice. The car is very under powered and the seats hurt your back. The new 5.0 is a different story though. My 06 is an auto and stock It did 14.3 best. After the tune 13.8....

Sorry for being stupid.

It's really just a discussion about both cars, since I'm considering both cars but wasn't prior to these strong Ford incentives. I figured it would be valuable to me since some of you may have been in a similar situation or at least considered the Mustang to a small degree.

I will obviously buy what I want. Those comments are redundant, but I guess I deserve them since I made such a silly thread title. I just wanted to get everyone's attention.

I was in the market for a Prem Mustang v-6. I took it for a test drive, talk to the dealers and then researched it online for like forever. I decided on the Camaro for three reasons. First there are a ton of Mustangs out there. Second, the look of the Camaro is new and fresh as oppose to the 2005 to present look mustang. Finally, the Camaro in my opinion is just a fun car to drive. Tough decision there are both great cars. In the end it is what you want, and like.

I'm pretty sure he's not looking to spend that much money.

If Chevy doesn't release any better incentives this month and Ford maintains theirs, and you like the Mustang, get it. A Premium V6 2012 Mustang > base Camaro any day. Leather, SYNC, power seats, ambient lighting, Bluetooth, handles better, it's faster and cheaper.

Also, that video that someone posted and stated that there are 26,000 MT82 cases being investigated is full of it. It's a small percentage of owners experiencing the issues, and it's mostly the 5.0 guys (me being one of them). Is it a deal breaker? Not for me it wasn't. Car is under warranty, and if you have an issue, Ford will take care of it. In the end, money, for most people, will always be a factor. Get what you like and can afford.

You can't go wrong with either car, just don't get the Challenger.

I'd say the V6 models are pretty equal. It would boil down to the test drive and the price for me.

The new Challenger got the Pentastar now. It's not as quick as the other two still, but it's not a gutless wonder anymore. It's also a good car. If he doesn't care about 0-60 times or 1/4 mile performance, it's to be considered. I don't know the pricing on it though...
