Agree.. you can't really predict too much with all the lighting variations. It WILL be a nice color and suspect it will actually turn out to be an AWESOME color in the sunlight. I've seen them on various car and it all depends on lighting and angle. I've seen some that actually look like custom paint jobs and some others that were more factory appearing with possibly a little less metallic at times, or slightly changed hues. I know they are supposed to all be the same.. but....

It's because the photos were shot using compression, aka (jpg) rather than non compression (RAW) . You have to view the photos in RAW or convert to jpg. There will still be a slight color change converting, but the match is much closer than straight jpg.

Thanks for concurring and explaining that reason what it does that for me. I am experienced with old single lense reflex Nikons and not that familiar with digital camera technology, being an old guy....

Actually in post #62 the picture of the CRT vert in the back left corner
is a much closer color match then the other photo's. That's more of what
I remember the caddies looking like, and when the sunlight hits it at certain angles man that color just kicks some ass.

These should keep me busy drooling until I see them live in Detroit next week.

Thanks again!
for all you guys i must clear that those pics from the hot wheels, carbon edition&the vert ,were NOT taken at the detroit auto show, i did not take any pics of these cars.

since they are not too many pics of them and we all want some gravy--me too-- i had those pics from the sema show , i decided to post them up.

so i apologize for this. don't want any confusion.or misled anyone.
i for one is deceived by the very low number of pics of any zl1. we only see the ususal ones.. no yellows ,whites, blacks, silver and so forth..
sorry.
Greg

Is it just me, or does the ZL1 look a LOT like the HotWheels version?

You know that Ashen Gray won't stand out at night and you may have to rely on other drivers seeing you! After dusk you may have to restrict your driving.
