Like Dietcoke says, it'll take a bit of cutting LOL

You had to cut the cowl to fit this? How much clearance did it need to clear? looks like less than 2 inches...

You need to trim it to the last 1" and it will fit. You also need to extend the MAP harness to reach the new location, and you will lose your wipers.

I can take some clearance shots if you want tomorrow. I never really took any after I put it on, it's fairly tight though.

Just like 429 said, it'll take some cutting: Mine I cut from the lip to just past the spot weld of the passenger wiper bracket. This picture shows how/why passenger wiper can no longer be used (bell crank for that wiper interferes with Hi-Ram lid).

I have a friend that shortened the runners on the intake to make it fit, without having to cut the cowling. I would love to see how it performs with the shorter runners.

Only way I see it is with the last pic in the post above yours. He cut the runner lengths to clear. Not sure how much that would affect low end tq but at least it fits.

Any way of modifying the motor mounts? I have pfadt solid mounts waiting to install so maybe I can notch them a bit?

Would be great to see some results of the shortened intake, a nice job was done modifying it!

I'm sure in a boosted application it would be great but am wondering about N/A. The runners are probably similar in length to the center runners of a single plane carb style intake.

I think there is just an efi top for the dual -plane dual -quad manifold which is only for cathedral ports... unless something new came out?

This is most def a MPD1 cowl induction. If there was any confusion look at the very first post where you can see the underside with the ductwork that routes the air to a CAI

We also offer this same hood with a COPO style underside.
