That does look good. It doesn't seem like it would be too hard to make with your plans. The hard part must have been coming up with the shape. You should sell the "plans" for the pan.
The duct is a different story. I've made a couple of glass plugs in my day. That's like work all around. Great job man. |

Got the fiberglass duct made. Unfortunately the resin ruined the paint on my mold plug so going to start from scratch with a new plug. Thinking this time make the plug from fiberglass and use a gel coat.
Anyway, my first attempt was a learning experience. At least I was able to get a usable duct for the pan. I'll try and get it attached to the rear pan this week and finally call this project complete.

That is really,really cool man.
I love seeing guys make their own stuff and noticed the guys giving you a hard time at the beginning of this thread have remained silent. Plus we have learned the the stock ZL1 belly pan will not work on a SS...that is really cool as well. Thanks,

Awesome fab job, bannonm.
You definitely ought to sell your pattern to C5 forum members. I've noticed some lift at speed with my 1LE so I'm buying a hood and using an ACS ZL1 extractor vent. I can see a big difference in aero lift between my Z06 and my 1LE.

Just wondering...
Is the belly pan on restriction? I heard it was at one point, but not sure if that was just a rumor. Can you buy one from the dealer? Just askin'...

Sorry I don't have the P/N, my order just said "deflector". You should be able to order it through the dealer, but I would try one of the online forum guys first. It will be cheaper.
