2SS is only $15 more a month on insurance for me, than my '06 Camry. But then again, a 2LT Corvette is only $25 more a month.

40+, 15 year reduction, no claims, no tickets (yet). I only pay $950 a year for an '05 Escape hybrid and a '06 Camry. Really, really pays to stick with the same insurer and get the year after year discount (IF your insurer offers it).

WTF,
I'm 52, No accidents or tickets for at least 10 years and I pay 450.00 @6months with State Farm, for a '97 Z8 insured as a pleasure car.
My bad I actually am paying 250.00 every 6 months for the above car with a 50.00 deductable..

And you're how old..and insuring how many cars?

I'm 22, it's to be expected at this point, and with the mustang being so common for college/high school students I should have known better. I just hope I can get the rates as low as they are now when I finally order my car.

Man I wish I lived in the U.S... Here in Canada I've been quoted $277 a month for a 2SS; 20 years old, no insurance claims ever. This is the first quote I've gotten, but amazingly enough it's about $200 LESS than what I was quoted for my 2009 Cobalt SS (4cyl. Turbo), from the same company. But it's understandable because from what I've heard the Cobalt is in a riskier class and has a record of young, irresponsible drivers.
Canada sucks for insurance. I'll just have to have my dad as the primary driver I guess.

Youve had your own insurance policy for what, 2 years now?? When you reach 20 years then you can brag about your insurance claims.
