I hope the "snake eater" is not a limited number produced, that is going to drive up the price so high over MSRP. They need to make them as long as people keep buying them or ordering them!!!!!!!! That will ensure that someone who have to work his/her @$$ off has a fair shot at his/her dream ride. Hate to say it but the mustang line up has a great formula. They have every price, performance, style cover for every type of buyer. The vett is also getting that same respectable(wink, wink) line with the ZR1 enter the line. The biggest difference between the vett and mustang line up is, Chevy just dominates there competition, mustang you are next!

You sound way to assured of anything you post.

I realize they are building mostly V8 versions at release, but what stops them from throwing the performance model in with the mix at the beginning. eh?! Don't you dare crush my dreams... or I will crush your knees.

Well after all is said and done with the Yukon, I "plan" on getting one Oct-Dec of 2009. Depending on when the vert will be released. That is what I've had my heart set on for quite a while. So it will be hard to go with the coupe unless the vert top is fugly! I would like to see one with the top up before then.

I'd like to see some sources as well. If you say Motor Trend I will laugh until I probably get fired since I'm at work.

The top performance model will be the Z/28.

AWD was considered early on, but would have increased weight, cost and complexity for ALL Camaros.

Although an AWD option would have been interesting, I think GM ultimately made the right choice in dropping it for the Camaro.
You seem to be very informed...could you share who your informant is?..so we can send the

Or is this just speculation and or wishful thinking?

Unfortunately I probably won't be able to afford the top models haha, so I think I'll get my hands on the first black on black sixer I can find.

Z284ever is not just "spouting". Of course, whether he's right will remain to be seen as it always does with anything new regarding this car. But it ain't a 'far, left-field" guess.

And that's all I'll say.

I like how he's skirting the question asked of him. I discredit everything he says from this point forward until he discloses a source.

It's not just a matter of "throwing" the performance model into the mix. The Z/28 will require more developement by a specific team.

Also, it probably doesn't make sense from a marketing perspective to rollout all the models all at once.
I thought that was more of an Italian specialty. You know—the whole breaking legs thing.

I'd love to see a high-performance addition to the family, but I honestly think that 400 horsepower is plenty. We're already going to be the fastest in our class. I think Chevrolet has to wait for the competition to catch up a little before they have an incentive to release more power. Sometimes it's better not to show a hand in case someone else has something up their sleeve.

It wouldn't if Mopar & Ford weren't already selling SRT8s and GT500s. Even a marketing puke can see that they will be giving up (high margin) sales if they don't roll the big dog out quickly.

The traditional tactic of holding back a faster version to revitalize sales when they start to sag makes a little less sense this time around since the 5th gen will probably be short one thanks to the new CAFE rules.

And even if they do sit on the Z28, the SS should still humiliate SRT8s at the strip.
