Out of probably hundreds (if not thousands) of track runs by those forum members, there are only two that have under 11 seconds and there is a huge gap between. I also contend that there are probably more than just two excellent drivers on the forum that have driven under nearly perfect conditions, but we have probably not seen those same conditions with the Camaro since it is still considered "rare". Also, some cars are just faster than others, same make, model, and factory mods.

My other statement was that the Camaro hasn't been run under the same conditions, for the same length of time as the Vette. There is a reason why tests are run multiple times, and under the exact same conditions. I was not trying to argue the numbers, only the way that they were compared.

So 5 years from now when there is a standing record of 12.7 would you like an 'I told you so' PM or can I post it in the forums? I already padded the buffer here. What more do you want?

I have found scientific proof that these cars should indeed be extensively compared. Hopefully Consumer Reports will get right on this so we can find out which one wins out!

I personally chose the camaro because I have alot of friends with vettes and did not want to be a copycat I had everything ready to sign on a 2009 ls3 vette then backed out and bought the camaro same day!

I like a vette but I love my 7 year old son, so I choose a backseat. If I were to get a car without a backseat while having a family I think I would feel a bit selfish even thoe it's not my daily driver. If you buy your wife one to then problem solved. Lol

Nah, I won't have a lid by the rental.. it will be a pretty decent match up with or without it. (well I think so anyways...I know a lot of 5th gen owners who think otherwise)
