Our daughter had to learn MT driving, else she wouldn't have got much practice driving done on her permit. Ditto for our oldest grandkid, she'd have come up short on practice too (and probably missed out on something else useful to know/have experienced as well). Further back, all the women in my parents' generation (not to mention their parents' generation) who drove at all could drive stick. It was my own Mom who was most responsible for teaching me. IOW, there's hope for your wife. Try not being too apprehensive, your confidence that she'll be able to get this skill down will help her get it down. Norm

2 things...
1) LA traffic/ignorant lawbreaking drivers, and 2) The absence of law enforcement to stop said ignorant lawbreaking drivers. People drive this bad because they get away with it. 3) Oh, and a 3rd one... Lawyers!
