Because ambient lighting gives only a little profit and everybody wants it and leather gives big profit and only a few people want it.

For some reason i just hav a haunting thought in mt mind that the v6 is just not going to perform as well as it looks on paper with it's 300hp and all.... What i really want is the v8 stick, but we are all be to optomistic about the price i think where looking at the 35k ball park range. Therfore im gonna have to opt for the v6 which aint to shabby, but after looking at the CTS's performance specs they wherent much better than what i see in my Honda Accord v6 that i own right now.
From MSN autos they tested the CTS doing 0-60 in 6.53 and 1/4 mile in 14.98. However this was with Automatic plus the CTS weights 110 more than the v6 camaro.
Overall im a little upset with these time compared to other 300 hp cars and hopfully the MT in the Maro will help.

The Camaro WILL be better. I have no doubt in my mind that it's performance numbers will be most impressive.

How heavy is the CTS? I don't know is why I'm asking, not joking around. I think the Camaro is a lot lighter and will perform better. It is supposed to be best in class for 90%+ of aspects.

I am sure it is some wierd combination. A lot of people do want leather, probably comes with the upscale package....When we bought my wife's Aura if you wanted the leather they made you get the sunroof, which cost a lot more than the leather, so that may have been a similar strategy...They have to limit the combinations to reduce the cost of building them, but not sure we will ever know the real reason....I bet somebody is already working on it for the aftermarket......

A lot of great things to come! Including a pile of GM Accessories to throw on your car before it leaves the dealer!

Interior accessories - items include premium, "Camaro"-embroidered floor mats, sill plates and more
Exterior detailing accessories - a variety of components are offered, from grille inserts and fuel doors to a High Rear Wing and Lower Ground Effects Package
Stripes - heritage-inspired stripes are offered in RS style for the hood or "hockey stick" style side design
Engine covers - available in five colors for the V6 and V8 engines
Wheels - split-five-spoke 21-inch wheels are offered in black metallic and polished finishes
Performance parts - numerous performance-enhancing components, including a tuned air intake, cat-back exhaust system, a Hurst short-throw shifter as well as more traditional GM Performance Parts.
I am glad i'm waiting for a second or third model year convertable, just to see if different/better options come around. Like reverse assist in December of 09. (Even though i don't need it.)

I asked a question about this earlier. I'm hoping there will be a few specific things that can be ordered a la cart.

Probably, but they can be sneaky sometimes, nothing in the Saturn stuff every said you had to get both, but when you checked the one box on the computer it gave you the other one...It was a sort of steatlh requirement...Sounded like in the Automobile article with Cheryl Pilcher there will be a more basic version of the SS without leather....

Then we've got a base level and loaded SS. The base V-8 entry is for buyers who want ultimate performance, but not necessarily things like leather seats (it's more bare bones). The loaded SS comes with leather, a Boston Acoustics audio system, electro-chromatic mirrors, steering wheel controls, Bluetooth capability, remote-start on the automatic transmission, and a USB port and wireless interface. If you have your iPod or a device plugged into the center console, you can use steering-wheel controls to scroll through song selections. The loaded V-6 and V-8 Camaro also have auxiliary gauges - the four gauges just forward of the shifter.

You should like Aqua Blue Metallic then, I dont think it will look anywhere near as green as it does in the computer illustration. On Autodeadline theres a 09 Colorado sporting what I think is Aqua Blue Met and it would look great on the camaro. Dont count out that color till you see live photos.

I'm now honestly considering getting the silver with the cyber gray stripes instead of black - Don't know if it would look as good, but it would certainly be easier to keep clean. Off to the photoshop thread, I guess...
