to all that want to put your hopes in the Z28. . .sorry but I've got a feeling it's going to disappoint you. maybe scale back on what you're expecting some and that way you are surprised when you see the car. but oh well.

Agree, didn't like the concept either, i thought it was ugly and out of this planet, too futuristic to be a camaro and yes this is my opinion

btw the production looks hell of alot better

the production car especially the v6 rs is a very good looking car....

but in no way does it compare to the concept especially when viewed on all angles...

its just a higher quality car without government restrictions

i still believed most people voted for production because they are just happy it is very close to the concept...and because they know that those who made the car post here they might not want to offend them

come on guys the concept is a 2.5 million dollar car...that just killed the looks of cars like the bentley convertible and aston martin's ...its build quality in my eyes was up to par with a lambhorgini in person you can't expect the production version to be anywhere near the standard of the concept

looking at the concept in person it literally crapped all over the corvette just feet away from it at the ny auto auction ...

i know a lot of you are excited over the production...but get your eyes checked

Photo shop

Now that we have pictures of the new Camaro, anybody doing photo shop renderings such as a "Yenko" or something like it. By the way did anyone one notice that the Camaro colors such as the blue, one of the reds, and the orange look very close to the colors some of you did in photoshop. Especially the blue. I wished it came in a blue like this

Concept = original
Production = kinda copy

Original is always better than copy.

Concept is better than production

A "copy" isn't a very good metaphor....I tend to think it's closer to:

Concept = v1.0
Production = v2.0

Second versions always come with enhancements and improvements, but lose some features.

Concept is as good as production.

Depending on who you ask, of course - which is the point of this thread....and I'm still very suprised (and pleased) that there are twice as many people who like the Production car better than the concept..........

OR

Concept: Rocky I, Rambo I, Die Hard I

Production: Rocky II, Rambo II, Die Hard II

Number 1 give the soul, Number II tries to enhance but additional features impact the soul

concept>production!!

Well, we all have our own opinion, I guess our opinion is mainly unarguable (does this word exist????): it's more a feeling than an objective point that make us like one over the other.

Concept was love at first sight. Everything else is kinda "fake" to me.

That's perfectly alright, and don't think I hold it against you. (or anybody else for that matter.)

technically speaking, the concept was Camaro 5.0. Production is version 5.1 and the (potential) refresh in a couple years will be version 5.2. Camaro 1.0 didn't quite exist, it was "Camaro mk I" and dates back to 1967

this is what happens when I get bored at work

Except for the part about the Vette. I saw the concept next to the ZR1 at the auto show and if I had a choice it would be ZR1 and then concept. But again if I had my choice I would have both.

I'm not surprised at the poll results, but I AM pleased with them.
Yea distant like "see ya back at the clubhouse" as I take off and watch in the rear view miirror as the distance continues to widen.
