First car: '96 Monte Z34 that I got back last fall. Cracked block now and leaks a quart a week. But, it runs still.

First Crappy Car: Christine, ye olde 2001 Ford Exploder Sport that many may remember. Electronic nightmare once it hit 70K miles. Mechanical nightmare starting at 80K. Dumped it at 109K before the transmission could take a s**t on me.

Only redeeming quality.. it stayed true to it's Ford roots and was a worse vehicle than the Monte.

To this day.. I can't seem to kill that LQ4. Even with a failing water pump on top of the quart a week deal. Adapted pushrod blocks FTW? Or is it just epic Chevy win at work?

I'm not sure what gave way. The engine sat crosswise in the rear compartment. I do recall it leaked oil from the main seal, and I didn't like the car well enough to pull the engine out to get to it.

I did I had to. I needed the money, and the parents didn't want to keep it around.
They threatened to crush it!!
So I put it up on ebay and it sold for nearly 1.5K less than I originally paid for it. That's after spending 3K to fix it up to it's present state.
It's now safe in Australia with some old "collector".

usually a bad sign when you pull the oil drain plug and nothing comes out

1979 Porsche 924. Father bought it for "me". Funny how he drove it more than I did. Sold it because parts were too damn expensive.

My first was an 83 Olds station wagon. The passenger seat was broken so it was propped up from behind with a wicker laundry basket. We've come a long way baby!!!!

1984 Mazda B2000 pick-up. We had to replace the clutch master cylinder every couple months. It always quit working at the worst time, like pulling out in traffic or even worst, trying to cross over traffic when making a left out of a parking lot.

I did become a pro of riding 'brakes', after all the times my dad would tow me home!

Mine was a 1986 Subaru RX Turbo...
The pic isn't my actual car... but it is the same year and color. It was an awesome first car too. Only lost 1 race in high school with it... to a 1978 Firebird Formula.

Man! What a hooptie! It sounds like one of the Borgward station wagons I had.
The drivers door was wedged, but good. You hadta' slide in from the passenger side across seats so torn up bits got stuck into your clothes. The headlights were wired directly from the battery over the outside of the hood. Turning 'em off was a matter of pulling the plug less extension cords off of the terminals.

The last time I saw that car we had just dragged it out into the hills and pushed it off a cliff.
