My last 4 cars have all had sunroofs. Well the first of the 4 was a Storm Gsi and within the first 2 months of owning it I had a hole cut in the roof to install a roof. Old style manual pop-op one. Never had any problems with it. no leaks no creaks no problems at all. Then my Saturn SC2 with a factory roof that broke 6 months into owning the car and had the entire assembly replaced under warranty. no problems since with that one. My Mazdaspeed6 with a roof and no problems and now the Camaro. I personally like a sunroof in my car and when it's above 50 and sunny it's open. My wife has a convertible solara if we wanna go totally topless. I say

Depends on how you are built. I'm 5' 10" and without the sunroof I have an 1 1/2" of head room with the seat in its lowest position. I have a long torso and like to sit more upright than most people. My head hit the sunroof in my normal driving position.
Everybody fits a little different....

if you are 6' tall, you better sit in a car with the sunroof before you order. I didn't like the roof being that close to my head.

Ok, now for a stupid question.
What is a Reverse Mohawk, and what does the sun roof have to do with it?

Second, whether or not everyone notices it at first glance wasn't the point. There are obviously other eye catching items on the Camaro, but the chop-top and the reverse mohawk are subtle and give the second look a very satisfying appeal! I, myself... appreciate my cave with 400 hp attached to it. (sunlight is for wussies)

I'm 5'10" as well and must have a long torso cuz that roof was scary close to my bald head.. Not nearly as much head room. I vote no on sun roof..

Gotta have the roof. Even if you can only use it occasionally, it is nice to have it there when you need it. Reverse mohawk cool, but the sunroof is useful. The last 4 cars I have had I had one and would prefer to always have it.

I am mixed. Nice to have the glass due to the dark interior but not a fan of spoiler type sunroofs and 900 or so is kinda steep

Basically after doing lots of thinking, it is boiling down to looks vs functionality. I'm just asking myself just how much does it take away from the look of the car? And is it worth losing X amount of look factor to gain Y amount of functionality? I'm leaning toward the sunroof.

Sunroof because at night when I turn the domelight on I can see down my dates shirt.
Took a girl to point it out to me though, haha. Plus I really like the way it looks when its open and back. |

I wanted the sunroof, but got one without..
In the transformers movie the car does not have a sunroof. So this makes me feel better.. |

I just test drove a 2ss SW yesterday and it had a sunroof. I had more than enough room at 5'10". I have a sunroof on both my cars and can' imagine having a car without one. I'm ordering mine with a sunroof.
