I'd buy a G8 based Chevell sedan.

That Chevelle concept is super HOT. I would love to own one of those too. Any pictures of the rear end?

GM has hole in their product lineup, no affordable 4 door performance sedan.

Some of us need the passenger space and the 2 seater Camaro doesn't cut it (lets face it the back seats in the camaro are worthless--worse then 4th gen and way worse than the 04+ GTO).
Why ruin the Chevelle especially an SS as a 4 door model? Stay true to form and keep it a 2 door sport coupe and come up with something new as a 4 door. If you want 4 door then maybe an upgrade to the Malibu would be a way to go.

I Agree TOTALLY!!!!! I Don't see the Chevelle in it at all.
It is a sweet looking ride,
I'd say more in common with the Acura/Honda type lines and shape wise anyway. IDK, definately not Chevelle though.

I understand completely what you're saying.

That being said, in the automotive world name recognition brings alot of customers to the table. The names Malibu, Impala, etc are not necessarily associated with performance, despite what engine you put in them.

That being said:

Chevelle brings to mind power, cruising, comfort and good looks. With the death of the G8 (horrible name) GM needs something that will draw people in.

A four door, performance sedan will do that, and Chevelle will bring the people in on name attraction.

Looks like a Chevelle to me...

I think this new rendering of the concept Chevelle is right inline with the Camaro Concept. Both concepts take styling cues from earlier years, but it is not an exact replica. Which (from what I've heard) is what GM wanted to do.

I LOVE the new rendering of the Chevelle and would buy one in a "Heartbeat".

Looks like a G8 on steroids.

Chevy should not make more than a couple hot models every few years. Flooding the market with too many models will cause loss of interest.

I don't understand this statement and totally disagree with you on this one.

I don't see it at all. Perhaps the transition between the roof and back glass. But nothing about that rendering says Chevelle to me. Please point out the similarities you see.

If I were trying to make that a Chevelle I would go with quad headlights, square up the grill, remove the lower vents/ducts, increase the dash to axle, level out the hood and give it a cowl. A much better car to start with for this photoshop would have been a Charger, Camaro, or Challenger.

I am refering to the general body shape. The roof line is almost the same. As I said, not identical but takes some styling cues. I can see it plain as day, Chevelle was the first thing that came to mind when i saw it years ago.
