Some will buy this car as a Small Family Car only for looks. More power to them. They could benefit from a smaller V6 (no need for real power). The More-power V6 could benefit those who want oomf, without the oomf in the wallet. 6 cyllinders are cheaper in the insurance category. Then'll come the V8, and that's for...us

Plus, I can't see a 200hp V6 in a 3500+ car. The cobalt could Smoke it. NOT cool.

In a side-note, having my Dad's 2nd gen around reminds me, of how bad it was in the late-70's....GREAT CAR, but the "top-of the line" V8 he's got (Z28 in 1979), only pushes out 170-some horses...very sad.

And I resent the Euros poking at us. I've never heard an American bash a Euro-car like they do to ours... I think it's because we are better then them in many ways, that they become self-concious.

Even the Euro's can't make fun of the Z06...so I'll settle for that.

Oh they still find flaws, like the interior. But to me that grasping at straws just to make themselves feel better. Picking on the interior of a sports car? Thats like blaming a luxury car for being heavy.

Have you seen their precious Veyron's interior? I like the Buggatti as a whole, but I'd take our Z06's insides over that any day of my life.

I don't have a single problem with the vette, and I haven't seen the interior of the veyron so I can't compare the two. But I find the vette to be just fine and I wouldn't expect it to have a luxury interior, I think thats what the XLR is for.

buggatti, then Vette. I'm not arguing - I agree. I just realised that there are probably very few who have even heard of this thing before it was brought up here. I know I didn't.

The picture of the vette from that angle DOES make it look cheap imo. The veyron is just ugly.

It's the shifter boot and the E-brake cover. I'm not a big fan of that two tone, but meh...The veyron is 5x uglier.

How's this...the Veyron's picture was taken in a studio - with the lighting, and the angles...
That Photo of the Vette was taken while the car was on the Grass for God's sake...

Here's an equal quality Vette pic, and the Veyron again since we're on a new thread page.:tweetz:

now that I have a good look at the two, I'd rather be in the vettes cockpit for sure! Hmm, this thread seems to have got a bit sidetracked . . .

Okay, good point. Will the Camaro have the horses GM claims...

How's this? GM never claimed it'd have ANY horses. Will it live up to our expections? YES! Plus a few "unexpected Surprises"...hmm. We can expect a lot, Mr. Peper...

What is with everyone wanting a horrible shade of orange in their car?

The Corvette looks much nicer, but that orange has to go. Black, Dark Gray, Light Gray, White and possibly Tan are the ONLY colors I want inside my vehicle.

There are a few reds that look gorgeous on an interior. Very few though.

Orange is making a statement, lately, isn't it?

Orange Camaro Vert, Orange Vette (when the C6 first came out), Orange Veyron, orange interior on the Camaro Coupe interior, and now orange interior on the new Vette...

Orange can be a sporty/aggressive color...But what gives?

Actually, 26mpg highway is for the base Corvette The Z06 is more around 14-16mpg according to my Motor Trend magazine. (Sep 07, Vol.59, No.9) But, I mean if you have the money to buy a Z06, you have the money to buy the gas lol.

Everything I have gathered from those that seem to be reliable sources of information from the Ford camp seem to indicate that the ls3 will be the engine that goes in the camaro. Take that with a grain of salt but some of these guys have a great track record.

I think that is the perfect engine for the camaro. It may be slightly detuned from the vette but still it will be a great place to start.
