Is the WRX STI sales competition for Camaro?

STI is right around 3300 you are correct... It just sucks that Subie only offered it in that ugly looking 5dr hatch and not 4dr sedan...

I had a wrx (02 Bugeye) and was into the whole subaru scene for a little bit and all my friends with sti's switched to evos. I am pro evo all day, especially if you like to race.

Never take a suabru or evo for granted if you pull up next to one. Chances are they are modded even just a little and it will hang if not toast even the new SS. I know I was in the business of making subarus beat V8's

OK so if all is fair allow an SS to be "modded even just a little" and see how it fairs. I believe all it would take to get an SS into the high 11's is slicks, bolt-ons and a very good driver.

Modded just a little is 2 different things for a Turbo 4 vs a SS
For Less than $750 ive gained over 90 wheel HP 260 awhp up to 355 awhp ( and a race gas tune has shown 30-40 more hp gains).
Thats what stock six speeds 400-405 LS1-LS6 are putting down to just 2 wheels on dynojets , from what ive seen . I could be off but you get the idea.
I dont think a SS can do that with $750 in bolt ons (NO2 yes but so can the turbo 4's)
To get the same lbs/wheel-power ratio (9.0) as my car the SS would have to add +/-60 whp and streetslick/slicks .
Yes I see SS getting into the 11's with bots ons , and looking darn good doing it .
