Just went to the ADM site to order the trans cooler. Ok $249. A little steep but, I can handle that for a quality trans cooler. But $65 for shipping and handing to California? I'll wait till the next time I'm Dallas and pick one up if I have time.

Did you search the site for "transmission"? I did, it comes up in the results... it's under the "2010-11 Camaro SS" -> "Transmission" section of the site.

There is no picture of it on their site, but there it is. I just bought one a few weeks ago.

By the way, if you have a maggie, you may need to put a spacer in to make this fit. My shop fabricated one for mine and it worked out fine.

Be leary of trans temp charts like the one posted in post #12. Those temps are for the older dino fluids like DexIII, ATF+3, MerconV, Type-F, etc.

Heat is definitely the enemy to a transmission, but the temps we see in our Camaro's shouldn't be much of a concern unless you start hitting the 240°F range. Newer fluids like Dex6, ATF+4 and Mercon SP/LV are a Group III synthetic and can operate/sustain 240°F all day long. When these fluids start hitting 280°F they are still plenty capable of doing their job for quite sometime. ATF+4 is rated at 320°F for 1500 hours and still pass the defined ISO tests. The problems you will run into is the seals and clutches will fail. You don't want a tranny to run too cool, but if you can get the temp's down in the 160°F range that would be a lot better IMO. I am not a big fan of tranny coolers integrated into the radiators even though that is those most efficient way to extract the heat from the tranny fluid. A fluid to fluid heat exchanger is much more efficient than an air to fluid cooler.

That's so funny. It wasn't there 2 weeks ago and it wasn't there half an hour ago...

Cool.

I run the ADM cooler on my car along with an FTI 3200 stall. I've been seeing tranny temps averaging close to 180 degrees. That's pretty good for stop and go driving in 95 degree S.W. Florida.

I'd have to agree and see a similar effect on my temps here in Texas. Gotta love it at the track too!

Post #74 has a very nice pic of the cooler as well as on the website. Big improvement for Auto 6 owners.
