I think it's time we revive this thread and continue the reverse light conversation over here...ya'll cool w/ that?
Just to bring up where we left off...we had seen all these pix of where they are on the concept, pix similar to that of the corvette, where they could be, etc. The pic you see of the inner brake light being white....no imagine this...all 4 brake lights are red. When you put it in reverse, either the surrounding light lights up white, or the center lights up white. Either way, it would look good. But, when the lights are on and when the brakes are pressed, all you see is RED light. Back up, and the inners go white. That's what I'd like to see. |

Thanks for that, TAG. I was trying to find that inner white light chop I did...couldn't though.
And that dark rear shot of the Camaro... Afterburners I love those lights I hope they keep them for production.

As for the spoiler, I would have prefered a bit more pronounced spoiler for the 5th gen, perhaps 25% taller. But its not that big of a deal for me. I'm counting down the minutes until RiceRocket shows that pic of the ricer camaro he has
And the lights, I do not like the red and white set. I would prefer what we have seen on the test mules over that.

but it would only turn white when you put it in reverse. All other times, all four would be red.

Wait, its my understanding that the LED's that are used are red, and there is a red cover over top. Based on that, a clear cover would be needed to integrate the backup lights into the tail lights. Using a clear cover with a combination of red and white LED's would then show the LED cluster just sitting there when they are not on, without the red filling in the area around them. Or is that all wrong?

I'm sure there's a way. Heck...they could even do the center lights on all 4 to make it more clean looking and not broken up. Dragon, do you think (when you have time) that you could do a chop w/ that pic from above where the center of the inner reverse light being white....and maybe another where all 4 centers are white?

Welcome to the site, Rockdawg!
No disrespect to ya, my friend. But, we've gone into much discussion over the reverse lights. Take a look through the thread and use the search button using "reverse lights" as the key word and I'm sure you'll find quite a few posts over this topic. Check out what the others had to say...will they stay? Or will the go?, etc. |
