Lol, but I only know because of you, I asked YOU questions all the time when I was doing mine! You may still be needed because I had factory connectors in my car and don't know what wires to tap into for those that don't.

Thanks for the help guys, I really do appreciate it. I will probably t tap it since I dont want to deal with the dealership. Unless theres some pdf out there that details how the tech can do it. What gauge t tap should I use? 16-18ga ok?

I would assume 20-22, but I'm really not sure. And the LED wires are solid and thicker than the wires I've usually seen in the car.

The OEM wire's your T-taping in to are 22 gauge.

One final question, what wire is it that is being tapped?

You tape the window switch behind the door panel, use the yellow + and black- wires.

Was there ever a good solution to this gap without having to cut or sand the dash?

You can cut the pipe some Or cut a grove in the push parts and set it lower.

In 2010 i want to SEMA and with the help of a member "camaro4mybday" got some New light pipe, it worked so good its not funny, no line in the back so you dont have to turn it in the right way, Only thing is its thinner, and for 1 year it has not come out.

I installed it on one car and he know how it looks, Now for the Good news, its do out 1st quarter of this year.

No price but its coming.
