Jason is right. Several years ago, I was riding with my brother-in-law, when a guy with a dog in his lap, ran into us. We were on a 4 lane at 65 mph. The guy was fussing with the dog, drifted left and right into us. We came to a stop about 50 feet from a guardrail at an overpass. I have heard gov't is considering putting animals in cages and securing them with seat belts. They can make laws, but then someone has to enforce the laws to be effective.

Calm down. The dog rides in my lap when my husband is driving and vice versa. I didn't think I needed to write a book to explain that or you'd say "tl;dr." Yes, I do have common sense and I'm a careful driver.

Ok ok, but you never know. There a lot of nut jobs out there that let their dog ride on their lap while driving. My mom is one of them and she's a shitty driver anyhow.

And WTF is "tl;dr"?

I've been looking at one of those. But I've looked at the LFX plastic intake manifold as well. The ports are a different shape, but the manifold is comprised of several pieces. I believe I can make a piece at my dads machine shop that could let is use the plastic intake manifold. Whether it would be an adapter or a new piece to mount on. Problem is I can get my hands on the part number for the dadburn thing. I'm refuse to order one from my local dealers as they'll charge full price for it.

Ahhh, thanks!

Well, I would have read a short clarification that stated "as a passenger" but whatever. I said my piece. It's unsafe, and people are stupid and do it.

I never assume anyone is a safe and careful driver. When you drive as much as I do, you see things that honestly make you want to stop driving.

I agree about it being unsafe to drive with a dog in your lap. It's smart to assume you're the only one on the road who knows what you're doing when driving. I've seen too many cases of "I can't believe s/he just did that!"

My pet peeve is people who text while driving. ARGH! I want to smack them.

I have noticed so many bad drivers in the afternoon on my way home from work. Just last week I almost got hit by people not paying attention 3 times! I was convinced that people were either trying to kill me and my baby or simply that they shouldn't be driving after work because their minds were clearly not there. Two of them ran right through a stop light!!! The other almost hit me while trying to speed past me in a school zone! Even more surprisingly, that one was an M&M repair truck and you bet I called the number on it and told the company. I don't think any of them had dogs. I think they just weren't all there!

I agree that dogs can be very distracting while driving though. One of my best friends puts her dog in a doggy seat belt! lol

Sounds like an interesting idea.

For the OSU peeps: You cannot turn left from Woody Hayes onto Cannon anymore between 7AM-9AM and 3PM-6PM unless you drive a bus. Don't try it, all you'll get is a very pissed off bus driver (me) and a ticket from campus police.

Smack them before they smack you with the side of their vehicle.

In the last month, I've had a few very close calls with people who were looking down texting.
