Never take for granted those who answer the higher call of duty to serve in the defense of our Country. Freedom isn't Free. I think a lot of people here fail to realize that Camaro is built on a full size sedan platform. It's a big car, no doubt.

Added to the list of things to watch.....

STORY
The Le Mans 24 Hours are a legend. They are mentioned in the same breath as the Rallye Monte Carlo, the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500. Since 1923, hundreds of thousands of motorsport enthusiasts have been flocking to La Sarthe year by year to experience the one-day race. To watch the protagonists in their sports cars battle for each place and each meter of tarmac with bated breath. The drivers cover 4,800 kilometers in 24 hours – almost as many as the Formula One racers in a whole year. Every Le Mans winner has gone down in history. The three Audi drivers André Lotterer, Benoît Tréluyer and Marcel Fässler did so in a special way with the triumph they achieved in 2011.

The film “Truth in 24 II” documents the tenth and arguably most emotional triumph of the brand with the four rings at this sports car classic. After two Audi R18 TDI cars have retired following spectacular accidents, the remaining Audi fights a dramatic battle for overall victory with the three Peugeot 908 cars – which the Audi trio ultimately decides in its favor with a narrow margin of 13 seconds. The film captures the entire drama of the fourth-narrowest running of the Le Mans 24 Hours – with intimate insights into the team of Audi Sport and breath-taking pictures.

...very true Fen. I for one noticed that the size and feel of the ride compared more to that of a larger sedan performance level vehicle. It's solid, stable, and gives a feel of confidence under hi-speed roadway conditions. It's quite a cross bred platform, offering a quiter, smooth suprisingly level, balanced ride and it maintains those qualities under peformance levels unmatched above what we could come to expect from such a platform. It's an engineering marvel from my point of view.

At least with the Z....I'm enthralled with how stable and solid it feels to drive. Yet...nimble despite it's heft. I can't help but compare it to the likes of Mercedes C63 AMG...or an Aston Martin.

Obviously, it lacks the luxury of the other two...but like them it's a GT/supercar/muscle-car "cross-breed", as you put it, OldSchool!

I can't wait to drive an ATS, though...Good times are ahead for the Camaro with that as a foundation...so long as it doesn't become dinky inside...

Lot of interesting comments about smaller, lighter, better HP to weight ratio, etc... Well if one needs that I'd recommend a Vett... Personally, at 6'6" I don't fit in a Vett.... The Z06 was my car of choice originally then I got behind the wheel and my right knee became wedged between the steering wheel and center console. Well time for bigger and the Camaro fits the bill,.... First my 2010 2SS, now 12 ZL1.... Who would of thought in 2006 that the rumored Camaro comeback would be so successful and then top it with the ZL1... I like size, and damn happy there's something like the perfectly sized Camaro to meet my needs...
