there is always someone who has a faster car, always someone bigger in the gym........ when does it end? so unless you're john force or ronnie coleman, youre down at the bottom of the totem poll with us!

the v6 camaro is not a fast car in the sports car world.. the v6 camaro is a cool car, but when people start talking about it being fast,, thats when i draw that line... you wanna go in a fast car, my buddies 510 RWHP mustang is a fast car, a v6 camaro is a joke

your missing the point people always say " for 23k 312 is allot " ok sure its allot of HP for the money but that doesn't mean its a fast car. you have to look at more then just HP ..... the v6 camaro is not really fast at all... think about what 2010 sports car is it faster then ? not much maybe a scion TC, challenger v6, thats about it

You don't always have to have the biggest and most powerful engine to make a car go well. When I worked for Chrysler back in the 60's and early 70's, almost none of the engineers bought a hemi. Most of them bought the 383. 330hp vs 425 hp. yeah, the Hemi was faster, but at what cost? Also, at what cost in handling. The 383 was plenty fast, a lot cheaper and easier to maintain. Also much cheaper to insure. A lot of the blow-hards here seem to claim that money does not matter. In fact, it does. Perhaps they don't have families, or even rent to pay since many of them live with mommy and daddy. The fact is, a V6 Camaro will out run a 68 Hemi 0-60. That is plenty fast enough for most of us. Take your SS arrogance and keep to a different thread. You don't really have anything to be arrogant about.

How about BOTH of it's 2010 competitors... It's faster than a V6 2010 Mustang and a V6 2010 Challenger...

Don't usually respond to these pissing matches,but the Camaro is not a Sports Car. Having several Vettes over the years,a true sports car,the Camaro is just a different animal,a heavey muscle type car. Having said that,the Camaro is a very cool car,I have a LS coming this week. There is always something out there that will kick your ASS. I own 2 Vettes that will beat you everytime. So What?

well, 2010 models are over now, and yes your probably right, but right now 2011 mustang v6 are faster with the new v6 engine. ... so your faster then a challenger v6... and let me tell you a challenger v6 is VERY slow sports car...

yes the camaro SS is a muscle car. but the v6 camaro is not a muscle car, thats why i call it a sports car, dont know what else to call it

The V6 is a Camaro,period. A SS is a Camaro, period. The V6 Camaro is a very capable car. I for one could buy any Camaro I wanted,I am used to driving Vettes with the LS3,My Corvette buddys could not understand why I did not order an SS. The LS V6 ,as I said is a very capable car. As I learned over at he Corvette Forum,we gain nothing by downplaying each others cars.

AND.... I didn't buy the car to race... It's plenty fast enough for my needs...

i never said the camaro v6 was a bad car... it looks cools, its made well. my only point is that it really is not that fast compared to other sports cars... i think my problem i have with v6 camaro owners here, is that we really have to different cars, and i am all about performances, and most v6 owners are not looking to go to the drag strip.
... i come on these forums mainly looking into the SS section, ( bolt ons, tuning ). keep in mind i am a teenager (19) , and sometimes come off like a asshole.. i understand that.
