Pay no mind some of the SS snobs on here (and there are only a few -- most SS owners here are only playfully annoying about their superior engine).

Let's face it, you're getting an amazing 312 HP engine with the V6. The exhaust is pretty throaty already, and even better with mods.

It's true about the governor on the top speed with the LS tires, but as previously posted you can over-ride that with a tech's computer if you upgrade the rubber.

Some very wise LS, LT, RS, and SS owners on this forum have pointed out that there's a reason Chevy offers so many options on this car -- it will be YOUR car, and as long as you're happy with it (with no regrets), who cares what anyone else believes?!!!

And about what I said above, you're getting the same engine for which I paid $32,000 for just $22,500.

the camaro v6 does have 312 for 23k.. but if so heavy thats its not even fast...

i could buy a 18k wrx sti and beat you every time in a race.

i could but a 16k 350z and beat you in a race every time.
i could buy a 23k m3 and beat you every time

the v6 camaro is not a fast car in the sports car world.. the v6 camaro is a cool car, but when people start talking about it being fast,, thats when i draw that line... you wanna go in a fast car, my buddies 510 RWHP mustang is a fast car, a v6 camaro is a joke
That's circular argument, how many different cars can I buy that will beat an SS?

V6 Camaro has plenty power and will suck you back into your seat, it has muscle and plenty of speed. It IS a fast car, just not the fastest and neither is yours or your buddy's Mustang.

Get over yourself.

I agree with ^this^ 100% . My wife had a 1LT before she got pregnant and it was a blast to drive, I actually still have a 50ft blackmark in our driveway from it. I actually prefer the ride and drive of the 1LT she had over my SS.

My Camaro LOOKS fast even STANDING STILL.

Take your M3, wrx-sti, and 350z back across the ocean.

I'll keep mine.

File mikeSS under internet bully, V6 Camaro hater, and one of the worst members of Camaro 5....

All forums have them, and they are not hard to spot...

Negatory sir. An extra 10k is a lot of money, and that's only on the price of the car. The cost of gas and insurance is another major factor here, and that's for the life of the car, not just until you've paid for the car.

If I didn't care to get the 'RS' package, I would've picked up an LS myself!

I bet not if you were driving them!
And how much attention would those cars get compared to a Camaro?

Well it would be less than 10k but true, gas & insurance is something to consider.

Just a fun fact:

The 1989 Ferrari Testarossa takes around 6 s to hit 60, and does the quarter at slightly over 14. It has a 12-cylinder engine.

Do you track your car? I have and had some great success with my mouse motor. Can you post some time slips? I don't see you on the C5 fast list.

All talk?

I have a SW LS. Love it. Would i like an SS?.....Hell ya, just not in the cards right now. The LS is fast enough for me....Its the fastest car ive owned. For me there was no point on getting the 1 ot 2 LT. It was either an LS or SS. got the LS and will upgrade the rims later.
