Maybe adjustable suspension or the dual mode exhaust from the Corvette? That would make a fantastic Z/28, but since so many people stubbornly believe in one-dimensional power, well never see it. So frustrating.
I for one like your idea, sounds much closer to the Z/28 heritage than the 550HP version that everyone is screaming for.

but isnt the SS supposed to be higher on the performance chain than the Z/28? wouldnt the z be less $ with less HP? i wud luv to see the Z/28 on the road again, but it just doesnt make sense to make the z better than the ss, wen the ss is supposed to be better. idk. i still want them to make it tho, tht wud be awesome!

If you take 1969 for example; there were several SS engines... or at least versions of differing horsepower...
the i-6... nevermind
302...Z/28
*327
*350 SS
*396 SS
427 COPO
427 ZL1

*most had optional horsepower upgrades
someone please ADD correct details, dont bother correcting my memory... it wont stay...

We are left to believe the Z/28 does exist in some fashion untill we hear otherwise by our fearless leader
Fbodfather is usually absent from any Z28 thread. I wouldn't get too excited about him ignoring this one.

As far as that rendering - Love it!!! I want to see more!

I think we'd all be amazed at what could have already been announced if this whole "we're out of money" thing had not have happened.

They (GM) were hitting an absolute high-tide of engineering, performance, and styling before there were no more beans to count.

I hope things turn around.

I dont care to debate how or why things got to this point, I just want to see them turn around and get back to a point where something as beautiful as the Z28 could see the light of day again.

3 First point isn't true
the number 3 car looks better than that other z28 rendering

That front end looks like Bumblebee

Would be sick to see Chevy put out thier answer to the GT500 soon...But im gonna stick with my SS and build it from that. First step..3.73

From what i have read about the GT500 they dont handle very good.
I think the SS will be close to the GT500 in performance and will surely outperform the GT500 on a track course.
