I don't see anything out of hand here. You?

It tells you when you're in reverse??? I've never noticed. Is it just a beep or something I wouldn't notice if the radio is on?

As long as we're adding the "what gear you are in" light, put in the "upshift now" instrument light that my mother's 1985 Ford Escort had.

As that car rew older, it seemed like the "upshift now" light became less and less synched with your shift patterns... turned into a random blinky light with no logic at all, toward the end...

Back up sensors with the audible alerts?

I think it would add a certain cool factor to the DIC. I may not need it but by god I'd look at it occasionally just because its there.

I have a sequential shifter for my 4L80. How do I know what gear I'm in? I pay attention and know my car.

This explains those loses. Nobody knew what gear they were in. Now I know.

I think a manual gear indicator would be a good feature, particularly on 6 speed manuals with 3 columns in the shift pattern and a HUD. One last chance to avoid the "money shift" catastrophe before you let up on the clutch in 2nd when you think you're in 4th.

We're all human. The last time I did this, I was on the way to work at 5:00am on a Saturday morning, having already worked 60 hours that week. That was the day I swore never to buy a manual car again, and a few years later I got my A6 2010 Camaro.
