Glad to see the z is starting to perform better in tests. I know a lot of people here think I want it to fail, but I want it to be better.

Bc in the end it forces ford to make a better mustang which in time makes gm build a better camaro and the consumer wins

I know this test was done in 7/12 from C&D's 8/12 issue, but that wasn't the point.

The point is there's more than one instrumented test that shows the ZL1 is a low 12 sec. car, but because some private owners have yet to become proficient with the vehicle a lot people on this forum continuously rag on it.

And troubling enough, this most often includes Camaro owners.

People also need to stop crying the nonsensical "I'm not a mag racer" whine, because the "mags" actually support faster times than what most individuals are getting right now.

Realizing those people are relatively new to this forum and have low post counts, I'm more than happy to help out and clarify things for them.

I predict the ZL1 will come out ahead of the Ford but something tells me the BRZ is going to slip ahead of both. The Jaguar and Lamborghini seemed a little twitchy. The Lamborghini boiled its brake fluid, really?
I hope they do the side-by-side drag race on Friday - it's so absurd you have to love it!
"A little bit surprised by the C63 - it's chassis has been called unruly by some reviews" was true, this is the latest modified version. Still wild enough to please Clarkson, but refined enough to actually turn rather than drift through a corner. Love this car myself, just rare as hen's teeth an waaaaaaay outta my snack bracket.

So we both suck.

No arguing against it either since the magazine placed it higher.
Better tires, brake upgrade and a turbo and it would beat the 911. LOL. Being serious though it is a great car to drive in the real world as it's always fun at legal speeds. Wish I could justify one.

If you listen to Randy and look at the numbers (except $$$$$) the AMG and ZL1 seem very close. Now add in the price and you could get a ZL1 and a GT500! I'll take the 2 latter, please.

I love AMG's. I owned an '06 S65 AMG with the V12 Twin turbo 604hp/738tq. What a stump puller...gobs of torque. It ran 11.95@120 stock and 11.23@126 with a computer tune by Renntech.

It's all good for the entire elite HP group of cars. I would like to see an as equipped price comparison for the first through last finishing cars, just for grins and giggles.

On that note, I'd love to see the 1LE with an LS7. Over 500 HP NA and would take considerable weight off the nose VS. a ZL1.

How did they choose these cars for the test?

If the BRZ is there, why not a MINI Cooper S JCW?

Where are the Ferraris?
