Cloth vs. Leather

i agree...this is the first car i've owned with leather seats and was a bit skeptical, having ordered the 2LT which only came with leather seats, and never having sat in the Camaro until i got mine...they are very soft and comfortable and when i'm wearing shorts, my legs don't stick to the seats...i got the gray interior, because i figured it would stay cooler in the summer...the gray looks great, it's accented with black, so it's the "best of both worlds"...

I think I'm going to splurge and get the 2LT for the leather.

I'm tall (6'3") and it might be hard getting in and out of the car, especially with cloths gripping power.

With leather I can slide in/out easier.



Does the maro have an "Oh shit" handle?

If you just slide in and out of the car your side bolsters will be destroyed within a year or two and look absolutely terrible.

Had to get leather to get the orange interiour and now I'm very excited about it. The leather looks SO beautiful in the Camaro. And the leather still looks practically perfect in my 8 year old truck. I didn't know you were even supposed to do anything to "maintain" it. What are you supposed to put on it?

Really?? Umm, leather conditioner/cleaner. Meguiars makes some really good stuff.

really? I've never owned a car with leather. So ill need climb in gingerly then =)

Not gonna be a daily driver, so I feel I shouldn't really bother with the leather. About the only thing I'm gonna miss is the BA sound system, which I can order as an option on the 1SS. And though cool looking as hell, the gauges really don't do much for me.

And when I hop in on weekends...it's gonna be more of a wooo hoooo....I'm happy to be in my kick ass Camaro....instead od a WTF...where is the leather in this thing???

Wow. I was just browsing through Aston Martin's site, remarking to myself how amazing a car looks with a full leather interior, and here you've gone and done it for us! The black leather with blue contrast stitching would look GORGEOUS in my IBM 2LT. When are you going to have more info? Price?

^this grade of cloth wearing poorly over time. This fabric is entirely different from traditional cloth used in most cars.

To me this just looks cheap when compared to this. Couldn't have mine no other way then leather. Plus you can't get this color combo with the cloth.

So leather comes standard on the 2SS models? Can you get cloth if you wanted it. (Not that I want it or anything. )

ordered vr 2ss with io interior has any one saw a vr with io interior ? imo from looking at interior samples at dealer io looks more red than orange

I haven't sat in one yet... My order gets placed tomorrow... Mine may be the first and only one I sit in... well maybe not only but definitely first!!!

Got the 1SS because I really wanted a V-8, but I wanted to stay within a certain budget... 2SS was a little out of reach.
