Superchips tune is all that's been done so far with AFM disabled. Will be Dyno'd tomorrow for comparison after the exhaust mods are complete
i have a similar set-up except my mufflers arent the rounds. x-pipe, 2.5" tubes, and magnaflows. sounds good and clean and no AFM drone (of course that doesnt apply to you though).

The good thinkg about the thru-x muffler is you buy one part for $92 and you get an x-pipe and a muffler. Otherwise you're paying for the x-pipe and two mufflers. If you've done the muffler delete and add the tru-x muffler you'll have the same sound as the Magnaflow Competition Cat-Back. Although there may be drone, that's why I'm keeoing the stocks for now. Then I'll swa them for 4" rounds or the same used on the Street Cat-Back.

Sound thinking there toehead93. You made me change my plans. Going with Comp axle back and Tru-X muffler

Saves me an additional 200 in parts

Okay... so here's the dyno numbers from today. Again, 2SS/RS L99 A6, the only mods so far is a superchip tune with AFM disabled..........

The 14416's will fit and combined with the 11386 (Satin) or 14386 (Polished) it will have a more refined tone quality. We've had quite a few customers run this set-up. I think it sounds great!!!!

I'm going to keep the stock cans for a little while to see if I like, if not then I'll replace them with something. Just not sure what to replace the mufflers with. Have you confirmed the 14416 mufflers will fit?

I'm also adding LT headers. I'd like to find 4.5" double wall angle cut tips, having a hard time though.
I would use the 14416's along with the 11386 if you're doing LT's, it will have a loud deep tone but it will be much more refined. We've got discounts on these products including free shipping. Please feel free to call, email or PM me with any questions.

How much of this is just him trying to make a few more dollars, i'm not sure. This is why i'm looking for opinions. Lot of knowledgable people on here who i'm sure can help me out.

Would like to consider LTH but here in Socialist Cali that would be a no-no since it "moves" the cats. I gotta get outta this State

He sounds like an experienced guy offering good advise IMHO. It will take a lot of the harness out of the system. I moved out of SoCal in 2008 and I'm happy!

Ok....so tell us exactly what you put on. Do you have any sound clips?

Right now my plan on an LS3 is to add the #11386, remove the resonators, and do a muffler delete. That should basically be the same as the Comp Series and I'll have about $250 - $275 in the whole setup.

If that's to loud I'll add a couple #14416 to the system. Also...down the road I'll probably put on some LTs. I'll probably try it with that Comp Series type setup and if it's to loud I can add the #14416 mufflers.

Jordan....I'm sure I'll be calling you in a few weeks for the hookup.

I replaced the resonator with Magnaflow X-pipe muffler part #14379 and the stock cans with their Comp series axle back.

No sound clips yet. This weekend

Ok...still waiting on those sound clips. I'm assuming that you basically have straight pipes after the #14379. How do you like the sound?

The 14379 isn't a resonated x-pipe, it's a 4x9x11" dual in/out muffler. The resonated x-pipe part #'s are 11386 (non-polished) or 14386 (polished) for the 4"x9"x14" used in the 2.5" comp series cat-back. It seems as though Don has made a mistake!!! I sent you a PM, please let me know if you have any questions!

Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions. Have a great day!

Re: Magnaflow Exhaust 2010 Camaro

Nice exhaust. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about it. I try to install that in my car. I think I can use it efficiently.
