Figured I would let you guys know some of the winter mods I've been working on.

Right now all the interior trim bezels are out of the car and they are at paint. They will all be Victory Red.

I got a Hurst Short Throw and bought the track pack bushings so I don't have to replace the plastic ones after a month

I got a set of BBK longtube headers ceramic coated with high-flow cats

I bought an ambient footwell lighting kit from Phastek

I have a few LED stripes laying around I am going to light up my trunk with

I have some LED bulbs for the dome light

I am thinking about getting a tune at RDP in Ohio

That's pretty much all I am working on. I will keep you guys updated with pictures when I get those things installed.

Just went down to the Corvette dealer academy to become a Corvette Specialist. It was probably one of the best experiences of my entire life. They do the training at Spring Motorsports in Pahrump NV. Its about 45 minutes from Las Vegas. I got down there a day early and stayed at Paris Las Vegas on the strip. The next day I rented a Chevy Captiva and headed to Corvette training. The training takes place for 2 days and you stay in a condo onsite. The first day was awesome. There are so many cool things to learn about the new stingray. They used a system where you would take a 1 hour class and then hit the track in one of the new Corvettes. The track time was unbelievable. You got to go out by yourself and you followed a professional race car driver in a Camaro 1LE pace car. He took you around the track really fast and gave you real-time information and tips over a CB installed behind you in the Corvette. We got to do wet figure 8, oval track, slalom, and a road course on the skid pad. The main thing was to go out on a portion of the real race track road course and blast around some apex's. These cars are unbelievably quick and stable in the turns with very little body roll. We drove Porsche 911 Carrera S and Porsche Boxster as well. I was really disappointed that the 120,000 Porsche is just flat out not as good as the Corvette Stingray. I cant even Imagine what the Z06 will be like. I figured I would share this with you guys cause I know some of you are stepping up to a Corvette. I highly recommend Spring Motorsports and Ron Fellows school of driving. It is a car guys dream. This place is set up like a country club with awesome facility's and a fantastic staff. The trainers GM sent to this camp are some of the best I have ever learned from. I enjoyed Corvette Training and Vegas a ton and I am so happy my dealership sent me down!

Enjoyed the read Matt. My 2SS/RS convertible is being built next week so I'm stockpiling the mods and ideas. My first phase will concentrate on performance so I really appreciate learning about all your interior and exterior mods. I've started my own journal figuring if I can help a tenth as many people as have helped me on this forum, I'd be grateful. It really blows my mind how helpful everyone is on this forum, all the members, vendors and manufacturers. It's an enthusiast's dream. And, it's really helped me pass the time while waiting for my factory order. It is expensive reading about all the cool things you can do to your Camaro though. Keep it going!
