Perhaps it's a good thing the question was not, "Did you buy new or used"?

I have the 2SS/RS and wouldnt have it any other way, I quite like the leather seats and interior, there is NOTHING like the smell of a new car with leather, and the heated seats are really nice during those cold months.I LOVE the HUD, I have never taken my eyes off of the road to look down at the speedo " I keep mine on the speed & RPM option". I also think that the guage cluster is a nice touch to the interior, its nice to have the little bit of added info that they provide, and it looks cool

I have a 1SS and love it!

Granted I have the RS, rear vision, and sunroof packages.

I love the HUD. So much so that I've turn off the digital display in the center of the cluster and never look at the analog dial. I've heard the argument of leather being to hot, but I've never experienced that specific problem and I feel like the leather is simply more comfortable and easier to keep looking nice. I also like the door inserts but that's just preference (like most of this).

I agree the location if the 4 gauges makes then next to useless, but despite that it still like them if for nothing other than esthetics.

the leather is perforated...not hot, the triple gauges show if you loose it...oil pressure or electrical etc at a glance, the HUD is there to enjoy the drive and when in a manual you can see the rpm and when traction control kicks in not just from a feel for the road and it shows channel switching on the radio and is undoubtedly cool...... and the other extras like premium stereo etc are the icing on the cake, there is no dobt like the kids on the commercial "MORE IS BETTER".....

I knew what I wanted for options.....I didn't care what other people thought...I didn't come on here and start a thread trying to get peoples opinions on what car to buy. This topic is all about preference....there are no right or wrong posts. When I see another Camaro on the road I couldn't care less what his options are....they are driving the car they wanted.

look at my other cars if you think the price matters, there is almost as much money in the drive train alone in my drag car as i paid for my camaro. i ordered my 1ss on purpose not because leather was more. however i've said this a few times before, you enjoy yours and i'll enjoy mine. i looked in my pants and it did'nt get smaller

this is only an issue when racing when I wanna get up into the high rpms normal driving usually not looking at the tach
I'm 5'8" and I have no such problem. My steering wheel is not all the way up and out. It's your driving position. My questions were with the intent of trying to help just that exact problem, but, well you have all the answers already before the questions get asked, so I'm not going to waste our time with it.

OP set themself up for this dunk tank of a thread. When will people learn, no one really cares why you purchased your car. We all got what we wanted and that should go without an explanation why we did it.

That is why I said a lot of people, not everyone. I know many people like cloth interior and less options, but many bought a 1SS for the cheaper price also. That's why they have options on cars, otherwise they would all be the same. Everyone should enjoy what they bought.

If I had all the answers I wouldnt be looking on the forum for new knowledge, I was not trying to be a dick about it I was simply stating I had the same vision issue with the steering wheel and tach.
