Its called mixing 2 different type of people who do things 2 different ways. That isn't even referring to the Ford boys or Chevy boys... That's one level alone. Its how a forums like this (Car enthusiasts) operates. But for the most part, its harmless.

that's just it.. i'm not a "mustang guy" or a "Camaro guy" I'm a diehard car guy .. I love the old muscle and the new Muscle..i don't lump all ford owners into one category or all Camaro guys.. there are douchebags in every circle. I check out the Camaro forums and the Challenger forums as well as Mustang forums because I like to know what's going on with each brand and what to watch out for when i'm looking at buying a new car( which lately seems to be every year) I always have a classic car of some variety in my garage and take pride in being able to completely tear one apart and rebuild better than new. the nice thing about the modern hotrods is they go fast right out of the box.

I have 2 friends with stock 2012 5.0's. I can consistently beat them both by a half car at the track with my 2011 SS

Well if the Camaro could be optioned with a 3.73 rear axle ratio and lighter 18" wheels like the Mustang times would be closer.

A bunch of us have beaten 5.0's.. But we are suppose to accept that the 5.0 is faster stock for stock and mod for mod. Because all races 5.0 vs ss are stock with equal drivers with a rainbow and pot of gold at the finish line.

The truth is very simple. A car with a solid axle will win over a car with IRS with similar HP, weight, and driver skill. A solid axle car just launches better then IRS, that is no secret. Stock Mustang wins in a drag race, stock Camaro wins in the turns. Ask again when the Mustang has IRS.

On a side note. At my local track all the fastest Mustangs have GM LSX engines, just saying.

Not at all, the TRUTH has been stated. But then you read comments like this:
