I'm not bothering to read through all these posts and I'm sure this has been asked but how the hell does one's knee get up there to bump the key in the ignition?

That must have been a hell of a stop sign to do all that damage at 25 mph. 3 wheels and a lower control arm? Was he driving his car with the cruise control on? He could maybe have his knee up then.

I never got my recall notice either...

But this situation reminds me of when the Hybrids had the braking issue (if you hit a bump while braking and it was recharging -via the brakes - the car would stop recharging and feel like it was lunging)...if anyone NEW posted about the issue and asking for a recall/reprogram most frequent board users/people would jump all over them and say get used it - it happens all the time...versus being in agreement and saying yes there should be a recall. When the recall came out 2 months later - everyone relaxed.

Here we have a situation where someone bumped the key...wasnt that the reason for the recall? Did we not believe GM had a reason for the recall? Obviously someone out there before this guy had the issue.

I think obviously he shouldve gone through insurance with police report, etc. Then got all that info straight over to GM. But lets not just bash him...its not like he rolled the car and wants a brand new car from GM. And its not like he posted once and was gone...think about all the people that come on here to make complaints about their car...when it gets fixed you never hear what was wrong.

So it's GM's fault you're tall? Sorry just had to say it. I would suggest like others here to try adjusting your seat differently. Hope you are ok.

If you can turn the key with your knee, you should use that talent and go on the road performing..I'd pay to see that..let me roll up my pants,it's getting deep

If you're sitting close enough to the steering wheel that you're able to hit the key off with your knee, you aren't far enough back from the wheel... which can mean more severe injury during a crash.
I find it hard to believe you actually sit like that - like an earlier post said, it literally feels like I'm sitting on a kids tricycle if I'm seated up too close.
Sorry, but anyone with a brain should have enough sense not so sit on top of the steering wheel like that.

Dontcha just HATE being tall sometimes? Must really suck, huh? Here, I wrote a poem for you guys:

I'm 5'3 and can hardly see over the dash,
so you giant f0ckers can all kiss my ass.

The end.

I have to be careful i don't get excited while driving. The other day I get excited and my d*ck popped up and hit the key FOB. That was a close call.

I tried every seat and steering wheel combo I could imagine and at 6' 200 lbs, and 33" inseam, I could not touch the key with my knee.
