Yellow non-PP GT..

After comparing it to some photos, a bigger rear spoiler and front splitter are absolutely required.
Wheels are going to be important..
.and a grille delete (03/04 Mach or 13/14 SVT) style may be the most important piece of th3 puzzle

The car has potential...no doubt

Is it faster around the track than the Z/28? If not it may be a fantastic car but IMO it’s another fail, just as the PP GT couldn’t take out the 1LE.

The Z/28 also costs an obscene amount of money. Ford's strategy may be to provide 90% the performance at about $25k less.

I am not sure if that'll happen with a bespoke 5.2 V8 with the flat plane crank that is potentially going to be/rumored to be used. Also if they are aiming at the Z/28 I would imagine it'll cost fairly close to the Z/28 due to the upgrades to the suspension and drivetrain over the normal GT. Not to mention if it'll have carbon brakes, and wheels and tires that are similar to the Z/28 that will also bump cost a decent bit.

There is the potential all that might not cost nearly as much as people think. Ford has a much stronger and well developed overseas presence over GM, especially in the UK. Plus keep in mind that there is the potential that the GT350 may be sold overseas as well in Euro/Asia Spec.

If pre-orders and "requests for information" are any indication, the new Mustang is going to be a hit in Australia and the UK. The entire UK allotment sold out in something absurd, like 30 seconds.

The only people who know is Ford. We don't even know if the GT350 is a real car. There is a good chance it is but nothing official has been released.

The GT350 will be Z/28 price range. The 1LE is already 90% of the Z/28 but half the price. Ford is using carbon composite parts to reduce weight. This will be an expensive car.

It will most likely retain all the creature comforts as well.

What I'm most excited about is that this GT350 will provide the GT with a parts bin to develope a true "Track pack" that the current S550 has no access to, due to being an all New chassis,

Video 4 of 5 is now up

"What's really exciting about this car is the proportional change we made and we really enhanced that proportional change. We've lowered the hood, widened the front track, something designers love to do but this has enhanced performance as well." - Moray Callum Global Design

"When you look at the front end and the nose and what we've done with the front end and front end styling, it just says to you I'm mean, I'm raw and I want to go." - Joe Hinrichs Ford Executive VP

So it sounds to me like a more aggressive and track capable Mustang. GT350 sounds all but confirmed at this point.

I hope Ford guys are ready for the sticker shock. A lot of changes for a low volume car.

You're probably right. But remember what everyone was saying about the Hellcat's price and that came out surprisingly lower than most people thought.

I expected the Hellcat to end up where it is. The GT350 will be in Z/28 territory, at least.

The Hellcat and GT350 are too different. The Hellcat is almost all engine with a few minor upgrades. On the GT350, they are changing the structure of the car.

If the GT350 does best the Z/28, we can always pull thePills card and say the Z/28 isn't in production anymore.

This isn't targeting the short-lived Z/28 anyway, so yeah you could use that. The Z/28 was to get the press the Boss did, and it did it well, a fine car. If GM threw 3 cars at the Boss, can't wait to see the response to the GT350. Ford leads, Chevy follows (brilliant Corvette, excluded) which always gives GM the option of pushing the envelope a bit more than the Ford bean counters would allow. Exciting times. I suspect even the base '16 Camaro will be outstanding.

Chevy Perspective.... Wasn't the Mustang GT a turd until the reintroduced Camaro SS with LS power pushed Ford to step it up a notch?

The GT500 was a weak answer for Corvette
