Nice, but ass was not the issue. It was across the shoulders. I was too wide and could not fit back into the seat. Same issue with the C7 Vettes. Everything is great until you shut the damn door, then it gets real tight.

I am 6'3, 160lbs. So relatively "skinny" guy.

Sounds like they would fit me fine, I'm just not sure if they are truly worth it or not. That's what I'm trying to figure out now!

First Impressions

I have been a Camaro fan from day one. As a kid my dad and I looked and looked for 69 Z28 and came close to purchasing a 1968 SS but ended up with something really nice a convertible 68 Firebird 350. I have owned a T/A, a moded 66' Mustang 302 and driven many exotics but in the last several years I have had the desire to get a 5th Gen Camaro.

2 Weekends ago my wife took out a 14' ZL1, 12' SS and a 10' GT 500. The ZL1 was a blast but the recars were a bear to get in and out of and I am in good shape! The car was also a bit on the bonkers side as a DD. So we took out a SS and while the power was OK the handling was horrible. Then we took out the Shelby. The Shelby was crazy loud and the supercharger whined at idle and whistled so loud even on lite pulls that I felt like I need ear plugs.

So the search for a 1LE began. Purchased my 2013 Summit White 1SS/1LE Valentines Day with my wife.

I love the way it sounds, pulls, looks, feels on the road and I can't quit smiling!

I was also struck by the fact that the blind spot issues are over stated!

Now if the snow would just go away!

You have to sit in them first. What I found weird is the way they didn't fit me. I'm a thick dude and need to lose weight but I carry it all up front. The seats fit me fine except they pinched my rib cage. I swear to you the problem was the size of my rib cage not the weight I need to lose. It was the oddest thing to me.

The salesman even got in and he was similar sized but not really fat and it did the same to him.

I LOVED the Recaros.. I am 5'10" and 160, they were perfect for me. Night and day compared to the stock seats IMO. The 1LE I test drove had them in suede leather, really kept you stuck in the seat like velcro, no sliding around.

I'm not a small guy at all and the recaros fit me perfectly. I wear the average size clothes too.

Medium shirt, 34 x 32 in jeans and my recaros fit me well with a little bit of wiggle room!

I'm 6'3, 210 and I love the way the Recaro's hold you in place. I drove for 10 hours straight and had no discomfort...and I'm no spring chicken either. They can be a challenge getting in and out of them but...because racecar

Well you are to me! 38 waist mid 50 chest. It is not the hip room that was a problem. It was the shoulder area. Believe me I wanted to fit.....I really did!
