That is a cool video, and I wish I could be like that but I can't anymore.
Also you should check with your insurance company. In many states if a driver is not directly named on the policy, they can reduce the coverage to the state minimum, which is not going to cover much at all leaving a huge gap that will be your problem.

I would at least know the policy well before letting non named drivers drive the car.

Yes, it's a mass production car. As stated that's what insurance is for.

Thats fine unless this is buried in the policy.

. Lower liability coverage for some drivers
In some states insurance companies can include "step-down provisions" for auto liability coverage, which lower the policy's liability limits to state minimum insurance requirements when you let a driver who's not on the policy use your car.

Say, for instance, you have liability limits of 100/300/50 ($100,000 for bodily injury liability for one person, $300,000 for all injuries and $50,000 for property damage in an accident). You loan your car to a neighbor, who gets in an accident. Under a step-down provision, your liability limits for that accident would automatically drop to your state's minimum required liability limits. Those limits vary by state, but are far lower than 100/300/50.

I let my best friend drive it because I thought he would enjoy it. He did.

"If I break it, I'll cry... If they break it, they'llbuy!" Would I let friends/family drive my car? I have never been asked by anyone, except a State Trooper during a random highway DUI & License Checkpoint. Haha! (He was surrounded by several other officer's and was only kidding, of course.) In the yr I've owned my Camaro my husband has yet to drive it, and he makes up excuses for why he can't: "My jeans are dirty from working in the yard", or my favorite, "Just move YOUR damn car, you can show me how to drive it this weekend!" ...I have a 2SSRS L99? What could I possibly need to show him??? I think most folks know why I adore my 5th Gen, and they wouldn't dream of asking to drive it or risk being responsible for breaking my heart.

I know a few people I wouldnt let touch it and I know a few people I would let drive it unsupervised.

And this is with a twin turbo M6. Some of you guys are either way to worried about your car or dont trust your friends enough.
THIS! Every once in awhile, it is nice to enjoy your car from the passenger view. It is a rare treat, as only one friend has actually said yes to driving it. I really enjoy when my brother (original owner), comes in to town and he drives me around.

Only let two friends drive my SS. One owns an SRT Charger and the other a Boss 302 LC. They're the only ones I trust because I know how much they value their cars like I do mine.
