This is a personal decision nobody else could make for you. For me, I'd choose the 1SS.

oh man, I've been debating on this topic for the past few weeks before I decided I'ld go with the 1SS/RS blk/blk.

Most of these extra options that are available on the 2LT/RS will eventually be available as aftermarket gadgets later on, but I doubt you'll replace the engine afterwards...

I am looking at the same delema. I decided to go with the 1SS because of the after-market world, you can put all the "bells & whistles" on there yourself without paying GM price.

Almost up to the day I orederd I was gona get a 2LT/RS all bells and whistles then I went to the dealer and sat in a 2LT/RS and said to myself all this plus a V-8 LS3 with 426 HP .........you deside...

2SS/RS/M6/SIM/ @ MSRP 36,795.00
I think 7000.00 more than the 2LT But Well Worth the Money a good choice eaither way!!!!

This question may have already been asked, but anyway. The aux. gauges on the 2ss are not on the 1ss. Are these gauges deleted from the car or are they incorporated into the dash cluster?

These come standard on the 2LT & 2SS, you can purchase them from your local GM parts counter and install them on your LS, 1LT, and 1SS and have them reprogram the computer ($400+ for gauges, and $100+ to have the car programmed).

Simple....it come down to practicality. A 2LT/RS has power, granted not as much as a V8, but power non the less. You get Everything of a 2SS .... Bells and whistles. The only thing you are missing out on would be the V8. Let's face it, I will not miss having to pay an extra 5K on an V8 option or extra $1700 on tires (after you wear them out using a V8 for all it's potential, an xtra $unknown on tickets, extra $1.10 per gallon extra on the super duper delux have to have gas, extra $$$$ on insurance. So you see, it just doesn't make sense to go with a 1SS and have to keep spending $$$ way after you bought it. A 2LT has all the goodies without all the prices. Now, if you are rich, then it don't matter a bit, go for the 2SS, and then beacuse you are rich, you will then buy the 2011 Z28 Now being this is a daily car for me, I save even more money , let's face it, we are all buying a 2010 Camaro because it looks hot and has a good kick. It's all good! But I am a guy who loves his creature comforts and likes all the bells a whistles. I hope this helps, because I know I feel REAL good about my choice and hope no matter what everybody else choose, that they feel good too about their choice. It boils down to "to each their own" ..... Sent from my iPhone

Would you rather have a fully loaded 2LT/RS with all the bells and whistles or a base 1SS with none of the extras?

SO the only thing that I can think of is the V8, but is that worth the extra $$ and then lose out on all the nice cool looks of the RS package and mp3/remote start and all that jazz ...

My budget could have 1 or the other, so I made my choice to be a fully loaded 2LT/RS .... did I make the right choice?
You are in great shape and made the right choice, in my opinion. Gas isn't getting cheaper. The performance of the V6 is enough for just about everything except the drag strip. The sound system is outstanding. The 2LT bells & whistles fill in all the gaps very nicely. I've got one and haven't had 1 minute of "buyer's remorse". Also, you should get it a bit quicker due to the build mix composition by GM.

1ss hands down. You will kick yourself for years saying "why didn't i get the SS" believvvvve me. You don't want regrets on something like this. If you are even debating this then you WANT the SS in your heart. Don't settle you will regret it

Just ask yourself, "IS BUYING PREMIUM GAS A PROBLEM". I get 15mpg in my 2SS in the city. I have not done any highway driving so I can not give you that figure. I had a Toyota Tacoma with the V6 and it got 17mpg in the city. I have not noticed to much of a difference between the two besides the price of 87 octane and 93 octane.

This is NOT my daily driver...this will be a toy....I'm buying the Toy to go vroom vroom FAST...therefore, I would not want to own a plush V6 toy...I do NOT want an automatic, and don't care for everyday luxuries that wont be used everyday.

1SS wins...for me anyway.
