They are way over done when they're that gaudy and grotesque. I looks like a JC Whitney catalog threw up on it after an LSD trip. Subtle and purposeful have a place on all cars. I want my car to have a well thought out good looking design, not just flashiness for flashiness's sake.

Maybe so, and ricers think their cars look uber-cool and don't care what us that "don't get it" think...

Except that it isn't? You're talking about the performance model here. It may have a couple visual cues you don't like, but it'll still pound the base V8s to dust.
So, if I work out in a gym and beef myself up to the point where I can pound any other guy to dust with my huge muscles then I can wear a pink tutu and paint my face blue and shave my head into a reverse mohawk and so nobody is going to say anything to my face about it because I could beat them up?

Nobody's going to dare point an laugh at me then...

but what happens when I leave?

They'd probably wet their pants from hysterical laughter!

There's a difference between "tasteful" and "bizarro-world"... bumblebee 2 is what a bizarro ricer would drive.

I'd prefer that over the sunroof thingy we think we all saw.

Besides, the Reverse Mohawk is the same thing as on the new Vettes (plus the bigger 'open mouth' vent in the front bumper, and the more aggressive front ground effects on the bottom of the front fascia, on at least one or more potential models - Chevy is mixing and matching design cues here between the Camaro and other current models. I like it).

OH, SNAP!! Did I mention a Vette, Again!?!?!

I don't. I think the (hypothetical) BB Z-28 looks rad. I plan on buying it. It's gonna be a @#$@%# blast. Feel free to wet your pants laughing behind my back.
I am glad you like the potential Z28. Was there anything else to be said, really???

In case you're serious, the reverse mohawk is the roof feature that's very similar to the curves and shapes on the C6. Sorry if you were kidding...

Ohhh, you mean the dual cockpit design on the roof? Yeah, it has a rectangular dip in it, it does look like a reverse mohawk!

I distinctly recall seeing people getting laughed at behind their backs and the people laughing were damn cool people and they were laughing at the other person because THEY were the prick.

i love the new vette...I hope gm decides to go in this direction

The c3's were the most bad @ss looking generation...come on the 69 stingray is all I have to say...

forget all the naysayers who talk about technicalities about powertrain and being uncomfortable...its 2008 you can have the design and have the car haul
