For the incentives, I guess you need to gauge what GM will do on a whole. The Hype is over. What I mean by that is Camaro's will sell for what GM intended the price point to be, and not some crazy markup that the dealerships were doing. Even down in my neck of the woods, the prices have fallen, and there were crazy mark ups at the beginning of summer.

So, you could play the waiting game....it depends on your needs. It sounds like you really want a SS, so wait it out, find the best deal, and get what you want. Do not settle...just be patience , and you will be rewarded every time you drive somewhere in the car you really wanted.

1. lol

2. Sometimes being exclusive plays into buying a car. People pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a Ferrari that may see 5,000 models built through its generation. Part of that whole supply/demand thing.

Both GM and Ford can build cars that last, we've seen enough evidence of that through the years. Hell a friend of mine has a 94' Taurus in completely stock trim that he regularly takes mudding...

If you want to be exclusive (or if your arguing that the Camaro will be more so than the Mustang) your in the wrong spot. I ALREADY have more Camaro's in my building than Mustangs and it hasn't even been out for a year. These thing's are selling like hot cakes and they will continue to sell like hot cakes.... But it is this massive wave of sales that makes it possible to build cars like the Z28 so to complain would be ignorant.

3. Track ability. How many of you are going to take your cars on a road course? Probably not many. And how many of that group will be doing it in stock trim? Even less. Neither of these car's are track cars in stock trim.

Are incentives dealer specific? Or is that something GM will do?

I've never bought a a car from a dealership before!

Dude, you want a REAL muscle car? Turn heads? Best stereo? Pick up chicks? Lots of gizmo's? Cause solar eclipses? Be a part of a VERY exclusive club? Wait for it, wait for it...

Buy a Challenger! Seriously, don't listen to a bunch of Camaro fans on a Camaro forum (are you serious?), go check them all out and buy what you want - don't rush it, find the one that speaks to you. If you don't, you'll be regretting it down the road.

Now, watch what happens. Time for the smack down...

I drove the chalenger and hated it. Too big. It's a boat. My Camry handles better.

Get the camaro. If you can afford the 2SS, get it. You will love it!! My mom is a Mustang lover and owns a '99 convertable Mustang that she would never part with. When she saw our Camaro, she could not believe how intimidating and awesome of a car it is. It is worth every penny. When we entered ours in a car show recently, there were 4 other 2010 Camaro's, a couple of grand nationals, older model camaro's and 4 Challengers, we got first in our class of about 50 cars. We even beat a prowler. Just shows you what the people want to see. There were over 700 cars in the show with 42 different classifications.

Yep, it's a big car for big men. Not for the meek and mild and not everyone can handle it. Don't feel bad, maybe one day. You might want to start with the Mustang since size is an issue for you - my wife sure likes hers. Or stick with your Camry.

Um....Have to say, Camaro and a Challenger are dam near the same size....I will say the Challenger interior offers a lot more room IMO. I felt rather comfy in it. But then again I am a big guy. 6'4 290...yeah

The camaro seems to have a better weight distrubition, and handles a good bit better then the challenger, Though the challenger does have more interior room. For incentives, I would go so far as to say that you're gonna have to wait until late spring early summer for anything worth a wait.

yesterday, no incentives in sight. They are keeping production down and prices up (Challengers). They sell everything everywhere - supply and demand. You can get great deals on Camaro's now, since there are so many available. Sadly, I think they will be like Mustangs one day (not a shot).

I talked to a Dodge salesman a month ago about that.... Now is a bad time to buy apparently because they stopped making them for a few months, allowing them to charge more for the few they have.

Now that the dealerships currently have all 3 cars sitting on the lots, buddies and I like to walk around and make on-the-spot comparisons.

One of us liked the Mustang GT, basically for it looking sleek and having what appeared to be the highest quality materials on the interior. The other liked the Camaro for being ''pure sex'', while finally the last liked the challenger for the sense of character it had.

I know where you're coming from, but i've still seen many camaro's with mark ups, both v-6 and v-8s, In fact, the only camaro's I have seen with no mark up, are the 1ss.

As for the Chally, I didn't like the HUGE hood in front of me when I was driving. It felt like I was swinging a baseball bat when I turned the car. The front bumper i expected to clip something in front of me. As a personal preference I did not care for the interior at all either.

Otherwise beautiful and fast car.

But more importantly, I have a hard time seeing any good deals on the Camaro, considering I'm looking at a fully loaded GT (402-a spec NO track pack) for only $28,000.

Do you guys think GM will do 0% financing or a cash incentive rebate on Camaro this spring?
