I like the retro SLP emblem...I'm just not sure if anyone has answered the question as to if we can use the rear one without the blackout kit....Will the emblem cover the 2 holes WITHOUT the background pad..Not sureif this was covered.

I bought the SLP Emblems and landing pad as well as the Black-Out kit.

My 2011 2SS DOES NOT HAVE THE TWO HOLES IN THE TRUNK after removing the bowtie!! So i could've only used the SS emblem on my factory paint with no holes if i chose to.

Secondly, If you are doing the black out decal, there is no reason to add that thick "refrigerator magnet' over top, the holes will already be covered by the black out.

I just did the black out decal and stuck the "SS" indiviualy on the black out without using the 'fridge magnet' it's a very clean look. I will post pics sometime this weekend.

And by the way, these retro emblems are awesome looking!!

This would only look good if you were standing about 50 feet away from the car; any closer and it looks like crap. This seems like about $5 worth of product, but they are charging $80 with shipping. I really want this retro SS look for my Camaro, but I will return this product and order the heritage grille (when available), and then try to find a gen1 badge to attach.
You hit the nail on the head. Exactly what I'm going to do. how did yours turn out?
